Salary - $116,981.00- $129,492.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading
Your role
The Project Officer supports the delivery of workforce and people-focused initiatives across Strategy, Policy & Commissioning (SPC). Working within the People stream of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, the role provides project, coordination and administrative support, including preparing communications and reporting, maintaining project documentation, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and assisting with the implementation of initiatives that contribute to workforce capability, wellbeing, inclusion and organisation performance.

The team operates in a collaborative and service-focused environment, working closely with the Deputy Secretary, SPC Executive, managers, HR business partners and staff across the division to deliver practical workforce solutions and foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised and proactive project professional who enjoys coordinating multiple activities and keeping projects on track. They will be able to manage their own workload, exercise initiative and respond effectively to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to build productive working relationships across SPC.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of workforce, capability, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives through effective project coordination, administration and stakeholder support, while demonstrating flexibility, attention to detail and a willingness to adapt as business needs evolve.

- Provide project, administrative and coordination support across a range of people-focused initiatives and projects.
- Assist with the planning, implementation and monitoring of workforce, capability, wellbeing and inclusion activities.
- Prepare reports, briefing materials, presentations, communications and project documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, events and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Monitor project actions, milestones and deliverables, and maintain project records and tracking tools.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, workforce planning and reporting activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the delivery of key SPC priorities.
- Build positive working relationships with stakeholders to support successful project outcomes
