Why The Works?

We don’t just sell products. We inspire reading, learning, creativity and play.

You sell the paint that turns someone into an artist. You provide the book that unleashes an inner author. You supply the games that help bring families together. You give someone the puzzle book that reconnects someone with a late family member’s memory.

You never know who someone will become. So with your passion, and our products, you will help ignite the spark in helping people unleash their creativity, find new passions, hobbies, or rekindle fond memories.

The unseen possibilities are limitless, and it all starts with you.

Become a Property Projects Coordinator

As our Property Projects Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in supporting the delivery of change across our store estate, from new stores and refits to relocations, closures and other Property projects. With your brilliant organisation and communication skills, you’ll help bring people, plans and information together so that projects stay organised and on track.

Working alongside our Property project leads, you’ll coordinate activity, maintain plans and trackers, follow up actions and keep internal teams, stores, contractors and suppliers connected and informed. You’ll be at the heart of the day-to-day coordination that helps our Property projects run smoothly and supports the team in delivering great environments for our colleagues and customers.

Your Mission

· Project planning and coordination – Keep project plans, trackers, milestones, actions and dependencies organised and up to date, providing the structure and follow-through that helps new stores, refits, relocations, closures and other estate projects stay on track.

· Stakeholder, supplier and contractor coordination – Bring together stores, internal teams, contractors and suppliers, coordinating agreed activity and ensuring the right people have the right information at the right time. Proactively follow up actions and escalate delays, risks or issues to the relevant Property project lead.

· Project costs and administration – Maintain accurate project cost trackers and coordinate quotes, purchase orders and invoice queries, working closely with Property and Finance to provide clear visibility of committed and actual costs and highlighting anything requiring review.

· Fixtures, equipment and signage – Coordinate the ordering and delivery of fixtures, equipment, signage and other project requirements, tracking progress against project timelines and helping resolve missing, delayed or incorrect items.

· Store readiness and handover – Work closely with Retail Operations and store teams to support a smooth and organised handover, ensuring the right information, equipment and contacts are in place and agreed snagging and outstanding actions are followed through to completion.

· Project governance and reporting – Maintain accurate and accessible project documentation and provide clear, timely updates on project status, costs, risks, actions and upcoming milestones, giving Property project leads the information they need to maintain effective oversight.

· Proactive problem solving – Stay one step ahead by identifying potential issues, delays or gaps in information, taking action where appropriate and escalating anything requiring a decision or intervention from the Property project lead.

· Continuous improvement – Look for opportunities to make Property projects simpler and more consistent, developing effective templates, checklists, processes and ways of working that strengthen coordination across the estate.

Skills/Behaviours That Will Set You Apart
