Why We’re Building Village
Getting specialty care for a child should be easier. Today, families face long waitlists, confusing insurance, and fragmented care. Providers face the other side of the same problem: unpredictable caseloads, endless paperwork, and administrative work that takes time away from the children they’re trained to help.
Village is building a coordinated care system for children, providers, and the families who love them. We help families find and coordinate developmental, behavioral, and therapy care, while giving providers the infrastructure to grow and run their practices. It takes a village, and we’re building one.
The Opportunity
Village’s network includes 400+ vetted specialists across Southern California. Providers get access to referrals, support with insurance billing and payments, and Vera, our AI-powered back-office agent for documentation, scheduling, billing, and follow-up.
We’re scaling in Southern California, building a repeatable approach for new markets, and working toward Series A. Joining now means helping shape how Village grows while the team, systems, and playbook are still taking form. Your conversations with providers will inform how we recruit, onboard, and support them.
The impact is direct: every provider you help become active adds capacity for families seeking care. You’ll see the results of your work, build a function alongside a growing team, and have room to take on broader responsibility as Village expands.
About the Role
As our Provider Growth Account Executive, you’ll grow our network of pediatric therapists and help providers get ready to see families. You’ll work directly with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and practice owners, guiding them from the first conversation through joining and becoming active on the network.
This role combines clinician relationships, business development, and hands-on onboarding. You’ll own monthly provider activation targets, build your own pipeline when needed, and keep conversations and onboarding moving. Success means a provider is live on the network and ready to see families.
We’re looking for someone who builds trust with clinicians and brings urgency, initiative, and sound business judgment. You might come from provider relations, healthcare growth, or clinical recruiting. You might also be a practicing PT, OT, or SLP ready to move into a business role, with experience growing a practice, developing referral relationships, or owning business outcomes.
This is an early-stage, individual contributor role with real ownership. Some processes exist and others need to be built. You’ll work independently, find practical solutions, and help create the playbook that future teammates use.
What You’ll Own
Provider Recruitment and Relationships
Build relationships with therapists and practice owners, understand their goals and concerns, and help them decide whether Village is a fit.
Manage inbound and outbound provider opportunities, respond promptly, lead discovery conversations, and confidently ask for the next step.
Own monthly provider activation targets, track progress, and adjust your approach to deliver results.
Onboarding and Activation
Guide providers from signed agreement to live on the network, collecting paperwork and managing credentialing documentation, including CAQH where applicable.
Follow up proactively, identify what is blocking progress, and coordinate with teammates to keep onboarding moving.
Keep accurate provider records, pipeline stages, and onboarding status in HubSpot or a similar CRM.
Pipeline Development
Identify and prioritize providers by specialty and geography, using calls, email, LinkedIn, and relationship-based outreach to build your pipeline.
Create opportunities without waiting for leads to be handed to you. As outbound support grows, help shape messaging, outreach cadences, and qualification criteria.
Building the Playbook
Bring provider feedback, recurring concerns, and onboarding friction to the team to improve the provider experience and conversion.
Build and improve practical processes, trackers, and follow-up routines that help the team grow efficiently.
Who You Are
Driven and accountable. Clear goals motivate you. You’re comfortable carrying a monthly quota, tracking your progress, and finding a way forward when results fall short.
Resourceful and persistent. You investigate problems, try new approaches, and keep momentum without needing daily direction. You know when to solve something independently and when to bring in help.
Credible with clinicians. You listen closely, communicate clearly, and balance thoughtful relationship building with the confidence to move a conversation toward a decision.
Commercially minded. You understand a provider’s needs, explain Village’s value, prioritize opportunities, and connect your work to measurable growth.
Strong on follow-through. You take ownership beyond the agreement. Details, paperwork, and follow-ups matter because they determine whether a provider can start seeing families.
What We’re Looking For
Typically 2–5 years of relevant experience in provider relations, provider recruiting, network development, healthcare partnerships, healthcare sales, or clinician-facing account management or customer success.
We also welcome PTs, OTs, and SLPs making a career transition who bring demonstrated business experience, such as practice growth, referral development, service launches, or practice management.
Direct experience working with clinicians or practice owners and an understanding of caseload growth, scheduling, insurance participation, or administrative workflows.
A track record of achieving measurable recruitment, partnership, activation, practice growth, or sales goals.
Comfort initiating outbound outreach, addressing concerns, asking for a decision, and owning growth targets.
Strong organization, CRM discipline, and the ability to learn new tools independently.
Especially Helpful
Experience at an early-stage startup or another environment where you built processes, adapted quickly, and worked with limited resources.
Experience with pediatric therapy, outpatient care, or independent practices.
Familiarity with provider onboarding, credentialing, or CAQH.
Experience using AI tools for research, outreach, or workflow improvement.
Location
Los Angeles-based candidates are preferred. We work in-office Tuesday through Thursday and are open to candidates farther away for the right person.
Why Join Now
You’ll help build a provider network that makes care more accessible, with a clear connection between your work and the families Village can support. You’ll have the autonomy to test ideas, improve how we work, and shape a growing function. If you’re excited to bring clinical understanding and business drive to a company where your contribution can make a visible difference, we’d love to meet you.
