Why We’re Building Village

Getting specialty care for a child should be easier. Today, families face long waitlists, confusing insurance, and fragmented care. Providers face the other side of the same problem: unpredictable caseloads, endless paperwork, and administrative work that takes time away from the children they’re trained to help.

Village is building a coordinated care system for children, providers, and the families who love them. We help families find and coordinate developmental, behavioral, and therapy care, while giving providers the infrastructure to grow and run their practices. It takes a village, and we’re building one.

The Opportunity

Village’s network includes 400+ vetted specialists across Southern California. Providers get access to referrals, support with insurance billing and payments, and Vera, our AI-powered back-office agent for documentation, scheduling, billing, and follow-up.

We’re scaling in Southern California, building a repeatable approach for new markets, and working toward Series A. Joining now means helping shape how we reach providers while the team, systems, and playbook are still taking form.

Every strong provider relationship starts with a conversation. The opportunities you create can bring more therapists onto the network and expand access to care for families. You’ll build skills in healthcare business development, work closely with the provider growth team, and have room to take on broader responsibility as you deliver results and Village expands.

About the Role

As our Provider Growth Associate, you’ll often be a provider’s first introduction to Village. You’ll find and connect with occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and practice owners, understand their needs, and open the door to a meaningful partnership.

This is an outreach-focused role with ownership of a monthly qualified-meeting quota. You’ll research providers, make calls, send thoughtful outreach, qualify interest, and book meetings for the Provider Growth Account Executive. You’ll give each conversation context and momentum so the team can help the right providers join Village.

We’re looking for someone who understands clinicians and brings energy, persistence, and business judgment. You might come from healthcare outreach, provider relations, clinical recruiting, or sales development. You might also be a PT, OT, or SLP ready to move into a business role, with experience building referral relationships, growing a caseload, or supporting a practice’s growth.

You’ll need to be comfortable with consistent daily outreach, asking for the next step, and working toward measurable goals. Some processes exist and others need to be built. You’ll have the opportunity to improve our messaging, test new approaches, and help create the playbook future teammates use.

What You’ll Own

Provider Research and Outreach

  • Research and prioritize pediatric therapy providers by specialty and geography, keeping a steady pipeline of relevant prospects.
  • Run consistent, high-volume outreach through cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn, with messages that reflect each provider’s practice and needs.
  • Explain Village’s value clearly, listen to provider concerns, and build enough trust to earn a next conversation.

Qualification and Meeting Generation

  • Confirm provider fit, understand interest and goals, and identify key questions before scheduling a meeting.
  • Own a monthly qualified-meeting quota, track progress, and adjust your outreach to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide clear handoff notes so the Provider Growth Account Executive knows who the provider is, why they’re interested, and what matters to them.

Inbound Response and Follow-Through

  • Respond to inbound provider interest the same day, qualify promptly, and get the next conversation on the calendar.
  • Follow up thoughtfully, confirm meetings, and keep interested providers moving toward the next step.

Pipeline Discipline and Building the Playbook

  • Keep accurate records of outreach, conversations, qualification details, and next steps in HubSpot or a similar CRM.
  • Track which messages, channels, and approaches lead to qualified conversations, then use those insights to improve results.
  • Share provider feedback and recurring concerns with the team, and help build repeatable outreach and follow-up processes.

Who You Are

  • Driven and accountable. Clear goals motivate you. You’re comfortable carrying a quota, tracking your progress, and taking action when results fall short.
  • Proactive and resilient. You pick up the phone, initiate conversations, and follow up consistently. A slow response or a “no” prompts you to learn and try another approach.
  • Resourceful. You research thoughtfully, find ways to reach the right people, and solve problems without waiting for detailed instructions.
  • Credible with clinicians. You listen closely, respect providers’ time, and connect Village’s value to the realities of their work.
  • Commercially minded. You can recognize a promising opportunity, understand how a practice grows, and connect outreach activity to business outcomes.
  • Organized and coachable. You keep commitments, track details, seek feedback, and put what you learn into practice.

What We’re Looking For

  • Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience in healthcare outreach, provider relations, clinical recruiting, healthcare sales, sales development, or another clinician-facing role.
  • We also welcome PTs, OTs, and SLPs making a career transition who bring demonstrated business experience, such as referral development, caseload growth, practice operations, or service launches.
  • Direct experience working with clinicians or practice owners, with an understanding of their goals, workflows, and day-to-day challenges.
  • Evidence of initiative and measurable results, such as generating qualified meetings, recruiting clinicians, developing referral relationships, or supporting practice growth.
  • Willingness to make cold calls, sustain consistent daily outreach, ask for a next step, and own a monthly qualified-meeting target.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, strong follow-through, and the ability to learn new tools independently.

Especially Helpful

  • Experience at an early-stage startup or another environment where you adapted quickly, built processes, and worked with limited resources.
  • Familiarity with pediatric therapy, outpatient care, or independent practices.
  • Experience using a CRM, outreach tools, or AI tools for research and workflow improvement.

Location

Los Angeles-based candidates are preferred. We work in-office Tuesday through Thursday.

Why Join Now

You’ll help build the relationships that expand Village’s provider network, with a clear connection between your work and the families we can support. You’ll have space to contribute ideas, learn from the team, and earn greater ownership through your results. If you’re excited to combine clinical understanding with business drive and help shape a growing company, we’d love to meet you.
