PSP/Payments Manager [High-Risk]

About the Role

Our client is looking for a PSP Manager to manage relationships with payment service providers, coordinate payment operations, and ensure the stability and efficiency of the company's payment processing infrastructure.

This role combines provider relationship management, payment performance monitoring, operational coordination, and continuous improvement.

Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and optimize existing PSP partnerships, ensure smooth payment processing operations, and improve overall payment performance.

Key Responsibilities

PSP Relationship Management

• Manage and develop relationships with existing PSPs, acquiring partners, and payment aggregators.
• Act as the primary point of contact for provider-related operational and commercial matters.
• Negotiate and review processing fees, settlement conditions, limits, and other commercial terms.
• Coordinate provider onboarding, documentation, and operational setup.

Payment Operations & Performance

• Monitor payment processing performance, including approval rates, transaction success rates, declines, and processing stability.
• Identify payment performance issues and coordinate their resolution with PSPs and internal teams.
• Monitor provider limits, payment availability, settlement schedules, and operational restrictions.
• Support payment routing optimization and recommend improvements to transaction processing efficiency.
• Escalate and coordinate the resolution of payment incidents, settlement delays, and other provider-related issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Technical teams on new integrations, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Compliance on KYC/AML requirements and provider documentation.
• Support Sales and Account Management teams with payment capabilities, provider restrictions, and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate provider documentation, commercial terms, and operational information.
• Identify opportunities to improve payment coverage, provider performance, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in payment operations, PSP management, acquiring, or payment provider relationship management.
• Strong understanding of payment processing and the PSP ecosystem.
• Experience working with payment gateways, acquiring banks, aggregators, or alternative payment methods.
• Understanding of payment flows, transaction statuses, approval rates, declines, settlements, and payment routing.
• Familiarity with high-risk payment processing is strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating technical integrations and resolving operational payment issues.
• Understanding of KYC/AML procedures and provider onboarding.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
• Ability to manage multiple providers and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
