Engagement: Pay-per-article model (Remote)

Experience: 3 - 5 Years

We are Drizzlin, a Singapore-headquartered marketing company specializing in developing insights-led content for the world’s leading brands and social organizations. Established in 2008, we have served over 100 clients across more than 20 countries in The Americas, Europe, and Asia.

We are looking for a well-connected, proactive, and results-driven PR & Media Relations Specialist to manage public relations, media outreach, press coverage, and event publicity.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant PR experience, with established relationships and strong contacts across leading media houses, journalists, editors, and publications. You should have a proven ability to secure media coverage, arrange interviews, get press releases and stories published, and generate visibility for brands, company announcements, and events.

This is a hands-on freelance role requiring someone who can independently manage media relationships, develop compelling PR pitches, and deliver measurable media coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute PR and media outreach strategies to increase brand visibility and media presence.
  • Leverage established relationships with leading media houses, journalists, editors, and industry publications to secure relevant coverage.
  • Pitch stories, press releases, company announcements, thought leadership articles, interviews, and feature opportunities to media outlets.
  • Secure media coverage for company announcements, campaigns, launches, partnerships, and other key initiatives.
  • Identify and coordinate media opportunities for events, including event listings, press attendance, interviews, on-ground media coverage, and post-event coverage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, reporters, and relevant media representatives.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, media briefs, and other PR communications.
  • Identify relevant publications and media opportunities based on the target audience, industry, and campaign objectives.
  • Coordinate interview opportunities and media interactions with company spokespeople and leadership teams.
  • Monitor media coverage, maintain a media outreach tracker, and prepare regular reports on PR activities and outcomes.
  • Track relevant industry news, media trends, and competitor coverage to identify new publicity opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of PR campaigns and media requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in public relations, media relations, communications, or a similar role.
  • Established contacts and working relationships with leading media houses, journalists, editors, and relevant publications.
  • Demonstrated experience securing published articles, interviews, press mentions, and event coverage.
  • Strong understanding of media pitching, newsroom processes, editorial requirements, and PR campaign execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience drafting press releases, media pitches, and compelling story angles.
  • Strong networking, relationship management, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to independently manage media outreach and deliver results within agreed timelines.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple PR initiatives simultaneously.
