Public Review Response Coordinator
Customer Service — Public Review Responses
Remote · Full-time · 65,520–69,680 per year
A public online review may praise a team, ask a question, or describe a customer problem. The Public Review Response Coordinator monitors an assigned review queue, identifies what kind of follow-up is needed, and prepares an approved acknowledgement for review. This is a remote marketing support role that relies on customer service judgment and office administration accuracy. You will not post a private account detail publicly or argue with a reviewer.
A home office or another private workspace helps with customer information. The employer will confirm platform access and review procedures.
A public channel needs careful language
Read the whole review before classifying it. If it mentions a service problem, preserve the customer's wording and refer the issue to the support owner. Do not confirm that a person is a customer or disclose an order in a public reply. A brief generic acknowledgement may be appropriate under the company's guidelines, but a specific resolution belongs in a private, verified channel. For a compliment, follow the employer's approved response style without making every reply sound identical.
The online tracker should show which review was seen, what action was proposed, who approved a public response, and whether a private handoff remains open. A review can be edited after it is first posted; check the latest version before finalizing a response. If content appears abusive or fraudulent, follow the platform and employer's reporting process rather than deciding independently to remove it.
Scope of the work
- Review assigned public feedback in approved online accounts.
- Categorize routine praise, practical questions, and service concerns.
- Prepare a short acknowledgement using current response guidance.
- Route private account issues to customer support through secure channels.
- Check approval before a public reply is published.
- Record the link, date, and status in an online tracker.
- Flag edited, duplicate, or potentially abusive content for review.
- Keep personal details out of public messages.
No prior reputation-management role is necessary. Experience in customer service, office administration, social media support, or written correspondence would be useful, but training is available. You should be able to write calmly, keep a record, and understand that a public reply is not the place to resolve a private account issue.
A public review may contain a factual complaint alongside details that should never be repeated in a public reply. Capture the review and its source, then use the approved acknowledgement process and pass the underlying service issue to the right private channel. Check whether the reviewer has already been contacted by another team so two responses do not conflict. If the company lacks a verified account record, avoid claiming to know the person's history. The role requires careful wording and routing; it does not authorize promises of compensation or disclosure of a customer's private case.
A public acknowledgement can
- Thank someone for a general compliment in the approved style.
- Recognize that a concern was raised without confirming an account.
- Direct a person to a private support channel when appropriate.
- Avoid arguments, blame, or a promise of a specific remedy.
- Respect the review platform's visible context and limits.
- Remain short enough to be understood by other readers.
Before a response goes live
- Check the latest version of the review.
- Confirm the response is for the right location or business profile.
- Remove any personal order or contact details.
- Obtain the approval the employer requires.
- Record a private handoff separately from the public reply.
- Note the posted response link and date.
Some reviews will need no public reply. Follow the owner's priorities and the platform's rules. You will be trained on the brand voice and approval path, but your first obligation is an accurate, respectful record.
The platform may restrict how a business can reply or report content. Follow the current employer instructions for that account, and ask the profile owner when access or approval is missing. A response drafted well but posted in the wrong profile can damage trust.
For applicants
A useful example may be a time you responded to feedback without becoming defensive. Show how you kept the person's concern intact while finding the right owner. You do not need a marketing credential. If the team advances your application, it may send you to the company’s website to complete its application. Its response guidance and approval process will be shared at the next step.
