About the Role

As an Intern in the Public Sector Solutions (PSS) team at Swiss Re, you'll be right in the action. Over six months, you'll take ownership of specific workstreams, engage with public sector clients and stakeholders, and contribute to the development of innovative insurance solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Business Development: Conduct in-depth market research including stakeholder mapping, analysis of financial and loss histories, and identification of relevant risks, trends and topics to support targeted client outreach
  • Public Tenders: Gather and analyse information on public insurance tenders, identify relevant opportunities, and support the development of Corporate Solutions' public tender strategy in select European markets
  • Client Engagement: Prepare and support meetings with public sector clients and stakeholders — including cities/municipalities, governments, and international organisations — by developing briefings, pitch materials, coordinating logistics, documenting discussions and following up on key actions
  • Innovative Insurance Solutions: Take ownership of at least one innovative insurance project, such as the development of a parametric solution for a municipality, coordinating across internal teams including PSS Technical Sales, Reinsurance, Underwriting and Legal
  • Public Sector Event Organisation: Support the end-to-end planning and delivery of a Swiss Re event for selected Swiss public sector clients in H1 2027, including concept development, speaker and participant identification, content preparation and internal coordination
  • Team Contribution: Support ongoing PSS business development activities, pipeline management, and preparation of internal and external materials as needed

The internship is scheduled for 6 months starting ideally in January 2027.
