About our company Premier : Premier Project Management provides design, procurement, engineering development and project management services to hotels. This includes implementing the majority of capital improvements for properties owned by Ashford Hospitality Trust (NYSE: AHT) and other hotel and mulit-family ownership groups. As an Interior Designer, you will work on the interior renovation of projects with varying levels of complexity from design through construction and installation. You will work with and receive mentorship from senior members in the department. Position Summary: The Purchasing Agent will assist with supply chain management and implementation of purchasing objectives. The role supports the development and ongoing management of assets comprised of Hospitality and Multi-Family residential developments. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, the role supports in-house design, design consultants . The Purchasing Agent is responsible for bidding, purchasing, and expediting major projects as assigned so that all FF&E is available at the construction start date. Responsibilities: Responsible for obtaining FF&E quotations, warehousing and installation bids for items as specified by the approved project budget. Responsible for negotiating price, lead-time and payment terms. Responsible for obtaining scoped/specified items within budget. Responsible for cost analysis, purchasing and delivery of all products within an approved budget. Management of an effective project purchasing process to ensure that requirements are procured and delivered within required time lines. Effectively manage multiple complex projects with limited supervision. Process all requisitions and purchase orders. Responsible for processing deposits, pro-forma invoices and payments for Net 30 invoice by documenting FF&E receipts. Responsible for managing and issuing weekly 'Expediting Reports'. Initiate change orders to purchase orders, generate purchase orders for property level commitments as part of Capital Purchase Plans and other FF&E projects, as required. Responsible for coordinating shop drawings, submittals and finish approvals with designer and manufacturers Handle and resolve vendor disputes Coordinate buyout and deliveries with Project Manager based on renovation/construction schedules Responsible for project procurement management and budget close out Other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma Required BA or BS preferred At least 3 years purchasing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Spitfire a plus Strong oral and written communications skills required, presentation skills desirable Exceptional customer service skills and follow through Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, to work independently and as part of a team Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and market alignment Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Retirement: 401(k) with company match Time Off: Paid vacation, holidays, and personal days Perks: Discounted hotel stays across the portfolio Growth: Career development and advancement opportunities Culture: People-first environment focused on excellence and innovation Job Type: Individual Contributor, Full-Time, Permanent Office location: 14185 Dallas Parkway, Suite 1400 Dallas, TX 75254 Work Type: Onsite with Hybrid work schedule OR 100% Remote Remote Option: For the right candidate we are open to consider 100% Remote Hybrid Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day) Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday. Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items. Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies). Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
