We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Python Developer to join our remote engineering team at Hiredbuddy. This is an entry-level role perfect for recent graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of experience who are eager to grow their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. As a Python Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining backend services, writing clean and efficient code, and contributing to the overall architecture of our applications. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that power our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain Python code for our web applications and APIs.
• Develop and integrate RESTful services, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Assist in the design of database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
• Document code and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in Python development.
• Work in an agile environment, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Solid understanding of Python fundamentals, including data structures, OOP, and standard libraries.
• Familiarity with at least one web framework, such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Basic knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing SQL queries.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and HTTP protocols.
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a team-player mindset.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or project experience with Python development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Exposure to containerization tools such as Docker.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development.
