Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Possible locations: Šenčur, Slovenia (hybrid with 3 days in the office, two days work from home)

Role Description

We are looking for a motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our QA Automation Team.

This role is ideal for a software professional with 1-2 years of programming experience who is passionate about automation, software quality, and Artificial Intelligence. We are looking for someone with strong development skills who wants to build modern test automation solutions, contribute to automation frameworks, and help shape the future of AI-driven quality engineering.

The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions while actively contributing to the development of AI-powered testing capabilities and QA tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright.
  • Design, develop, and enhance QA automation frameworks and reusable testing tools.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, QA, and product teams to implement and improve automated testing solutions.
  • Integrate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated tests within Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Analyze test execution results, investigate failures, and improve test coverage, product quality, and automation reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
  • Research, implement, and leverage AI-powered solutions and AI agents to improve software quality and test automation.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to and delivering software projects.
  • Experience programming in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and modern development practices.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming and software design principles.
  • Experience with Git and source control workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Playwright test automation.
  • Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Bitbucket and Bitbucket Pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and AI-assisted development tools.
