Show job description

We're a product design studio in Islamabad working with international clients on platform builds. We're hiring our first dedicated test engineer to own release testing on a live aviation platform, built by several development teams at once.

The role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in Pakistan. It runs Monday to Friday, with the working day starting at 3 PM Pakistan time.

What the job actually is

You'll run structured test protocols against new releases, find what's wrong, and write it up so the person who owns the code can fix it without a single follow-up question.

This isn't click-through testing. The protocols carry sequencing that can't be reordered, gates that stop a run when they fail, and a standing list of behaviours that look like defects and aren't. Learning that list, and adding to it, is a real part of the work.

You will:

• Run release test protocols as written, in order, honouring their gates and dependencies

• Test every screen at desktop and at phone width

• Compare built screens against the design files and report where they disagree

• Capture evidence properly: exact error text, console output, full network requests and response bodies

• Confirm that things which should be absent are absent, and say where you looked

• Keep a run log of every test record you create

• Write the report: what passed first, a count, findings grouped by who owns them, ordered by consequence

What we're looking for

• Two to four years in manual software testing on web applications

• Clear written English. Half this job is the report, and a finding nobody can act on isn't a finding

• Precision about evidence. You quote error text rather than paraphrasing it, and you can tell what you observed apart from what you think caused it

• Comfortable in browser developer tools: console, network tab, viewport resizing

• You follow a written procedure exactly, and say plainly when you couldn't complete a step rather than working around it

• You're willing to report that nothing was wrong

• You're reachable during working hours, join a daily check-in, and are available when a release lands. Your own laptop, a reliable connection and a power backup arrangement are part of the job

Useful, not required

• Testing against design files such as Figma

• CRM-backed applications or webhook integrations

• Writing test protocols, not only running them

What you won't be doing

• Automation framework work. This post is manual and exploratory testing

• Client contact

• Production access. You work with test data only, by design

What we offer

• Market competitive salary, reviewed annually

• Fully remote, working directly with the tech lead

• A written standard for the work, and a documented body of product knowledge to learn from on day one
