We are looking for an experienced QA Tester to join an international environment supporting the manual and automated testing of corporate IT solutions used by European institutions and stakeholders.

Working remotely for a Brussels-based team, with occasional on-site presence in Brussels (up to 5 days per quarter, notified at least 14 days in advance), you will define and execute test plans and test cases for grants and experts management systems. Working within a multicultural environment, you will collaborate closely with business analysts and developers to ensure the quality and traceability of every release.

What you'll do

Define test plans and test cases

Work with user stories and acceptance criteria in close collaboration with business analysts, checking business logic, dependencies and edge cases

Prepare test scenarios and manage complex, realistic test data

Apply test design techniques such as exploratory testing, equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis

Take part in test planning, defining scope and priorities based on business needs and risk

Perform functional, regression, integration and UAT testing, including end-to-end flows across multiple systems

Capture and document test results and evidence (logs, screenshots) to support defect analysis and reporting

Support test reporting and tracking of test progress and results

Use Jira to track tasks, tests and defects, including severity, priority and workflow management, with full traceability

Apply both static and dynamic testing approaches

What we're looking for

University degree corresponding to EQF Level 6 (bachelor's level or 3 years of higher education) and a minimum of 7 years of IT professional experience

Experience with test management tools: Zephyr and Jira (workflow states, traceability)

Proficiency in test design techniques and acceptance criteria validation

SQL skills (Oracle SQL Developer), including complex queries for test data setup and backend validation

Ability to analyse logs (Kibana) and debug across system layers

Experience with API testing (SoapUI) and with XML and structured data (XML Notepad, Notepad++)

Basic test automation with Selenium and performance testing with JMeter

Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Ability to prepare structured reports, knowledge base articles and test evidence

Collaborative, autonomous and results-driven, with the ability to adapt quickly to new tools and take part in multilingual meetings

English language proficiency at B2 level or higher, spoken and written.

Nice to have

Familiarity with ChatGPT and generative AI tools for test case optimisation

French language skills

Previous experience in European institutions
