Location: Ireland – Hybrid/Remote
Pay: €13,333 per month
Contract: 6-Month, Full-Time Contract
Department: Corporate EHS
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality, Safety, Health & Environment (QSHE) Project Manager to support a global organization in strengthening and evolving its corporate Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
This is a highly visible, strategic role that will partner with stakeholders across the organization, from operational teams through senior executive leadership. The QSHE Project Manager will lead key EHS initiatives, enhance and simplify global management systems, support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance, and help shape practical safety and environmental programs for a modern, multinational workplace.
The ideal candidate brings extensive corporate EHS experience, strong project management capabilities, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical solutions that work across corporate offices, regional facilities, and hybrid/remote environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a subject matter expert for corporate QSHE/EHS management systems, providing guidance to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements and technical standards into clear, practical, and actionable guidance.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies to benchmark programs and strengthen organizational capabilities.
- Lead change-management initiatives, including digital QSHE transformation and adoption of modern workplace practices.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops with stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization.
Program & Project Management
- Lead end-to-end QSHE projects and targeted advisory initiatives.
- Manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, priorities, and budgets in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Support office fit-outs, site upgrades, and workplace design projects, coordinating with design teams, contractors, facilities teams, and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical recommendations, presentations, and executive-level reporting to support decision-making.
- Balance regulatory requirements with practical and commercially viable business solutions.
EHS Management Systems & ISO Compliance
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global QSHE policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain and enhance management systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Simplify existing processes and frameworks to make compliance requirements more intuitive and effective for employees and operational teams.
- Support enterprise-wide ISO accreditation and ongoing compliance activities.
- Prepare and deliver annual Management Reviews, analyzing incident data, non-conformances, environmental KPIs, and other performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain global QSHE training materials, standardized templates, guidance documents, and self-assessment tools.
Auditing, Risk Assessment & Workplace Safety
- Conduct compliance audits, workplace inspections, and risk assessments across multi-site corporate environments.
- Support safety programs for traditional offices, hybrid workplaces, and remote employees.
- Conduct or oversee specialized risk assessments, including fire safety, statutory compliance, ergonomic considerations, and remote-working risks.
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and trend reporting to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Monitor emerging regulations, workplace technologies, and industry trends to inform the organization's long-term QSHE strategy.
- Support design safety governance for office fit-outs and capital projects, including areas such as RAMS reviews, design risk registers, and PSDP/PSCS requirements where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional health and safety qualification or membership such as Graduate IOSH, MIIRSM, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
- Chartered status (CMIOSH) or actively working toward chartered status is highly desirable.
- Practitioner-level IEMA accreditation or equivalent environmental qualification preferred.
- ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
- Full, valid Irish or UK driving licence, or local equivalent.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive QSHE/EHS experience, ideally within management consulting, professional services, a multinational corporation, or a global technology environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining corporate EHS management systems across multiple international locations.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Experience conducting health, safety, environmental, and fire risk assessments and compliance audits.
- Experience analyzing EHS metrics, trends, incidents, and non-conformances to identify areas for improvement.
- Experience supporting facility fit-outs, workplace projects, or capital projects is highly desirable.
- Exposure to design safety governance, including PSDP/PSCS, RAMS reviews, and/or design risk registers, is advantageous.
Key Skills
Simplification & Process Improvement: Ability to take complex regulatory and compliance requirements and turn them into streamlined, user-friendly processes and digital tools.
Executive & Stakeholder Influence: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to advise senior leaders, facilitate workshops, and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Problem Solving: Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and developing pragmatic solutions that balance compliance, risk, and business needs.
Global Mindset: Ability to work effectively across different countries, regulatory environments, and workplace models.
Technology: Strong proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel, along with experience using modern EHS reporting, analytics, or management-system platforms.
What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who combine deep EHS technical expertise with strong project management and stakeholder-management skills. This position requires someone who can operate strategically with senior leadership while also being hands-on enough to assess programs, identify gaps, simplify processes, and drive projects through implementation.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working within a dynamic, global organization and will bring a practical approach to creating scalable QSHE programs for today's corporate, hybrid, and remote working environments.
