Combine quantitative expertise, technology and valuation in one of the Nordics’ largest asset managers!

SEB Asset Management is one of the largest asset managers in the Nordics, offering a broad range of funds and mandates across most asset classes to private and institutional investors. We combine deep expertise with a strong customer focus, a commitment to quality and trust, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Here, you will join an international environment where collaboration, continuous development, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact are part of everyday work.

Since SEB was founded in 1856, our focus on customers and long-term relationships has been at the heart of our success. We aim to drive positive change by providing capital to help everyone reach their goals and accelerate progress towards a sustainable tomorrow. As a leading financial services group in northern Europe, we'll help you grow and empower you to take on more responsibility to create a real difference. Welcome to SEB.

About the role

As a Quantitative Valuation Analyst, you will join the Risk & Performance Analytics team within Risk & Performance. The team works across risk, performance and valuation, in close collaboration with portfolio managers and other specialists across SEB Asset Management.

In this role, you will have a particular focus on valuation and valuation processes, both within SimCorp Dimension and for instruments and processes handled outside the system. You will combine financial and mathematical understanding with strong technical skills to analyse, develop and improve how valuation is performed and controlled.

The role sits at the intersection of financial instruments, systems, data and quantitative analysis. You will work with large datasets and databases, use Python to develop analytical and valuation solutions, and contribute to the continued development and automation of our valuation processes.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with valuation of financial instruments in SimCorp Dimension and in valuation processes outside the system
  • Analysing and developing valuation methodologies, models and processes
  • Working with databases and data flows supporting valuation and quantitative analysis
  • Developing tools and solutions in Python to support analysis, controls and automation
  • Investigating valuation differences and supporting the understanding of underlying data, models and methodologies
  • Collaborating closely with portfolio managers and other stakeholders across Asset Management
  • Supporting the continued development of a robust, efficient and increasingly automated valuation environment

To thrive in this role, we believe you have

  • Previous hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension, preferably within valuation, pricing, financial instruments or closely related areas
  • A strong understanding of financial instruments and valuation
  • Experience working with databases and large datasets
  • Good programming skills in Python
  • A strong mathematical and quantitative foundation
  • A relevant academic degree within engineering, mathematics, finance, economics or another quantitative field and/or equivalent experience
  • An analytical and structured approach, with the ability to investigate complex problems across systems, data and financial instruments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and an interest in working closely with both technical specialists and investment professionals
  • Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English

What we offer

  • A key role in developing valuation processes within one of the Nordics’ largest asset managers
  • The opportunity to combine finance, mathematics, data and technology in your daily work
  • Work with a broad range of financial instruments, systems and valuation challenges
  • An international learning environment in central Stockholm
  • Close collaboration with experienced specialists and portfolio managers
  • The opportunity to influence how we develop and automate our valuation processes
  • An inclusive, value-driven culture focused on trust, quality and continuous development

Do you want to be part of SEB?

It is our fundamental belief that inclusion and diversity is crucial for our future success. We strive to have an inclusive, value-driven culture where employees feel valued, respected, and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe or where they come from.

Since we select candidates continuously, feel free to send in your application today via the link in this ad, but no later than November 22, 2026. If you have questions about the position, please contact Oskar Olsson, Head of Risk & Performance, at
oskar.olsson@seb.se, but we will not process applications via email.

Please be aware that our final candidates undergo background checks, a process that includes for example identity control, verification of qualifications, credit checks, company engagements and criminal records checks. In some cases, we also apply random drug checks.

During employment, employees within SEB can also expect to undergo recurring background checks.

The employment is covered by collective agreements signed between Finansarbetsgivarna and Akademikerföreningen and between Finansarbetsgivarna and Finansförbundet.
