Description

BBG's Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Group is seeking a Radon Project Manager to support environmental consulting projects focused on radon measurement and indoor air quality services for multifamily, healthcare, senior living, commercial, and other property types throughout the United States.

Environmental consulting within the indoor air quality and industrial hygiene industry is a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring a combination of field investigation, project management, client communication, and technical reporting. The team's projects may involve radon, asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other indoor air quality concerns.

This position plays a key role throughout the project lifecycle, including field investigations, sampling and data collection, laboratory coordination, technical report preparation, remediation planning support, clearance testing, and ongoing client consultation. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple active projects from data collection through final reporting.

Location: This is a remote position. Candidates located in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or elsewhere in the Midwest are preferred to support regional travel requirements and reduce overnight travel. Candidates outside the Midwest will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct radon measurement projects for multifamily, healthcare, senior living, and commercial properties
  • Travel to client sites to deploy and retrieve radon measurement devices
  • Coordinate site access and work directly with property managers, facility staff, and other stakeholders
  • Collect field data and maintain detailed project documentation
  • Prepare Chain of Custody (COC) forms and submit samples and testing materials to laboratories as required
  • Analyze laboratory data and prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Perform environmental inspections and assessments involving radon, asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, indoor air quality concerns, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Assist with project scheduling, client communication, and ongoing project management activities
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to clients in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Support remediation planning and other indoor air quality consulting services as needed
Requirements
  • Active NRPP Radon Measurement Professional (RMP) certification or equivalent radon measurement certification
  • 1-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, radon measurement, environmental site assessments, (ESA) or related field services
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout assigned territories, including overnight travel as needed
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to organize field data and prepare accurate reports
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and access attics, roofs, crawlspaces, and other confined spaces when necessary
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental and weather conditions
  • Ability to work 40-50 hours per week as project demands require
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored visa support

Work Environment

This is a field-based position that requires regular travel to client properties throughout the Midwest and other U.S. markets. Project work frequently involves multifamily housing communities, apartment complexes, healthcare facilities, senior living facilities, and commercial properties.

Typical project assignments may include:

  • Traveling to a site to deploy radon measurement devices
  • Returning several days later to retrieve devices
  • Coordinating laboratory testing and analysis
  • Preparing project reports and client deliverables
  • Communicating findings to clients and stakeholders
  • Managing multiple active projects simultaneously

While performing project work, employees may encounter environmental hazards, including asbestos, lead, mold, radon, and VOCs. Appropriate training and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
