Be a force for good and transform your potential into something extraordinary

As an R&D Intern in Clinical Digital Transformation at Nestlé Research, your mission is to help accelerate the use of digital health technologies, data and automation in clinical research. You will collaborate closely with scientists, clinical research professionals, data specialists and operational teams to assess digital solutions, analyze and visualize digital or clinical data, and optimize clinical research processes. This is your opportunity to make an impact while gaining hands on experience and mentorship to kick-start your career.

How you’ll make an impact as an R&D Intern in Clinical Digital Transformation

  • Assessing digital health technologies, including wearables and sensors, to determine their scientific validity, measurement performance, usability and suitability for clinical studies.

  • Reviewing scientific and technical literature related to digital measures, validation, usability and operational testing of digital devices.

  • Analyzing clinical and digital datasets to identify patterns, assess data quality and translate findings into clear visualizations, dashboards and actionable insights.

  • Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive activities and improve data-processing workflows across clinical research processes.

  • Supporting digital technology deployment in clinical studies, from protocols and questionnaires to testing, reporting and recommendations for scientific and operational teams.

What will make you successful

  • Being a current student or fresh graduate in life sciences engineering or a related field.

  • Bringing a strong interest in applying digital technologies and data science to clinical research and health.

  • Having practical experience with Python or R and the ability to work with structured and complex datasets; familiarity with Power BI, digital health technologies or digital biomarkers is an advantage.

  • Being analytical, curious and proactive, with the confidence to ask questions, critically review scientific evidence, communicate findings clearly and collaborate across disciplines.

  • Communicating fluently in English.

  • Demonstrating courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning, while translating ideas into measurable impact and creating shared value.

At Nestlé Research, we place people at the heart of everything we do

Our benefits are designed to support your growth and wellbeing, so you can thrive at work and in life:

  • Flexible working options, including hybrid work possibilities (for office-based roles)

  • Learning and development opportunities to grow your career

  • Healthcare contribution and access to the Employee Assistance Program

  • Attractive employee discounts across various products and services

What to expect from our hiring process

We are committed to an inclusive and respectful hiring experience and are happy to provide reasonable accommodations if needed. Our workplaces are fully accessible and supported by a strong safety culture, with modern installations and procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

The hiring process typically includes an interview with Talent Acquisition, an interview with the hiring team, and a final discussion and offer. We review applications as they are received and close the role once a strong list of relevant candidates is identified, so we encourage you to apply early. All information is treated confidentially.
