Real Estate Development Director

Role Description The Real Estate Development Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of development initiatives from early concept through delivery. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating potential sites, leading feasibility analyses, coordinating due diligence activities, and managing project timelines and budgets. This role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, consultants, and local authorities, to move projects through key approvals and milestones. The Director reviews contracts and proposals, assesses financial and market data, and prepares clear recommendations and reports for leadership. Ongoing responsibilities also include monitoring project risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and recommending strategic adjustments to maintain project viability.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Real Estate Development, including site selection, entitlement processes, and coordination of development activities.
• Candidates should possess skills in Feasibility Studies and Due Diligence, with the ability to analyze market data, financial models, and regulatory requirements to inform investment decisions.
• Candidates should possess skills in Project Management and Budgeting, including scheduling, resource coordination, cost control, and reporting against project milestones.
• Candidates should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present clear recommendations.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with relevant software tools (e.g., Excel for financial analysis, project management platforms) and familiarity with real estate market research resources.
• Candidates should possess prior experience in real estate development, construction management, or related fields; an advanced degree or professional certification in real estate, finance, planning, or a related discipline is beneficial.
