Job Title: Recruiter

Job Description

The Recruiter will source, engage, and manage candidates across multiple channels to support a variety of hiring needs. This role focuses on full-cycle recruiting, technical sourcing, and talent pipeline development while partnering closely with hiring teams. The Recruiter will use applicant tracking systems, social media, and professional networks to identify qualified talent, promote the employer brand, and ensure a smooth candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter to generate qualified interest in open roles.
  • Craft and send clear, engaging recruiting emails and messages to attract and nurture prospective candidates.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand position requirements, desired qualifications, and hiring timelines.
  • Identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques, including Boolean search and other advanced search methods.
  • Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current openings and future hiring needs across multiple functions.
  • Measure and track key recruiting metrics and conversion rates, including the number of passive candidates who become applicants, are invited to interviews, receive offers, and are hired.
  • Request and manage referrals from current employees and external networks to expand the candidate pool.
  • Promote the employer brand both online and offline through consistent messaging and professional representation in all candidate interactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system and other recruiting databases.
  • Communicate proactively with past applicants regarding new job opportunities and ongoing openings.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting activities, including screening, coordinating interviews, and assisting with hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a positive, timely, and professional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.

Essential Skills

  • 2–3 years of recruiting experience, including full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition responsibilities.
  • Proficiency using applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage candidate data and workflows.
  • Experience with sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, to identify qualified candidate profiles.
  • Ability to recruit for technical roles and perform technical sourcing in specialized skill areas.
  • Experience with union recruiting or recruiting in unionized environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for daily recruiting tasks and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with hiring managers and stakeholders to clarify position requirements and hiring needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting recruiting emails and communicating with candidates and internal teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain talent pipelines and candidate networks for current and future roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of sourcing experience, including outreach to passive candidates.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in manufacturing environments is a significant plus.
  • Union recruiting experience or familiarity with unionized workplaces is highly valued.
  • Technical recruiting experience, including sourcing for specialized or technical positions, is a strong advantage.
  • Prior experience using various ATS platforms is preferred, though no specific system is required.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret recruiting metrics and conversion rates to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple requisitions and candidate pipelines.
  • Ability to represent the employer brand professionally across online and offline channels.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site responsibilities.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to build effective relationships with hiring teams and colleagues.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and on-site work from Tuesday through Thursday. The standard work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a consistent daytime routine. The role involves extensive use of an applicant tracking system, Microsoft Suite, and online recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and ZipRecruiter. The work includes technical and union recruiting, often supporting manufacturing and other specialized environments. Parking is provided when working on-site, contributing to a convenient and accessible workplace. The culture emphasizes professional communication, collaboration with hiring teams, and a focus on building strong talent pipelines and delivering a positive candidate experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Edgewood, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
