About the Role


Our Client is seeking a proactive and experienced Recruitment Resourcer to support its construction, trades, and labour hire recruitment operations. The successful candidate will help identify, engage, screen, and coordinate suitable workers and construction professionals for a variety of temporary, contract, and permanent opportunities.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced recruitment environment, builds rapport easily with candidates, communicates confidently, and takes pride in maintaining accurate candidate records and compliance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source candidates through SEEK, LinkedIn, internal databases, referrals, job boards, and other appropriate channels.
  • Build and maintain active talent pools for construction labourers, skilled tradespeople, traffic controllers, and construction professionals.
  • Conduct initial candidate pre-screening and phone interviews to assess skills, experience, availability, location, work rights, and suitability.
  • Develop strong relationships with candidates and maintain regular communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Identify candidates for urgent labour hire requirements, project-based workforce needs, and ongoing recruitment campaigns.
  • Follow up on licences, tickets, qualifications, White Cards, trade certificates, medicals, references, and other compliance requirements where applicable.
  • Complete reference checks and accurately document candidate outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and current candidate information in the CRM / ATS and recruitment databases.
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate submissions, onboarding activities, inductions, and mobilisation requirements.
  • Provide timely updates to recruiters, managers, clients, and candidates regarding candidate progress.
  • Support recruitment reporting, administration, data entry, and other operational tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with the recruitment and operations teams to meet service levels, deadlines, and workforce requirements.

Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes

  • Previous experience as a Recruitment Resourcer, Recruitment Consultant, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or in a similar recruitment support role.
  • Experience in construction, trades, labour hire, civil, infrastructure, industrial, mining, or blue-collar recruitment is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Confident conducting phone screens and discussing job opportunities with candidates.
  • A friendly, energetic, approachable, and personable communication style.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with high-volume recruitment and urgent staffing requirements.
  • Highly organised, proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail when recording candidate information and checking compliance documents.
  • Experience using ATS / CRM systems, SEEK, LinkedIn, spreadsheets, and candidate databases.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality, candidate care, workplace safety, and professional recruitment standards.
