Sourcing Consultant - Construction Trades

Cape Town | Hybrid | Competitive base + Uncapped Commission

Gapp Search is a growing UK recruitment agency, and we're looking for an experienced Sourcing Consultant to join our Construction Trades team in Cape Town.

You'll take ownership of the candidate side of the recruitment process, working with electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, ductfitters and other skilled tradespeople across the UK.

This isn't a cold business development role. Your focus is finding good people, qualifying them properly and making sure the process runs smoothly from initial contact through to starting work and weekly payroll.

The role

• Source candidates through our existing CRM, job advertising, referrals and other channels
• Screen and qualify tradespeople against live vacancies
• Build relationships with candidates and maintain an active pipeline
• Explain jobs clearly and make sure candidates understand the project, rates and expectations
• Send placement and onboarding information
• Set workers up correctly on our internal payroll system
• Make sure timesheets are submitted accurately each week
• Keep candidate records and availability up to date
• Work closely with Account Managers to fill live requirements quickly and accurately

What we're looking for

You'll need at least 2 years' recruitment agency experience, ideally within construction, trades, M&E or another temporary recruitment market.

More importantly, you'll need to be organised, calm under pressure and comfortable managing a high volume of candidates without letting service levels slip.
