The Regional Marketing Manager, APAC is responsible for developing and executing the regional marketing strategy to drive demand generation, market development, customer engagement, and commercial growth across the APAC region. Working closely with the VP & GM, APAC and regional commercial teams, this role is accountable for aligning marketing initiatives with business objectives and supporting revenue growth across MSD’s portfolio of instruments, consumables, services, and emerging technology platforms.

Regional Marketing Strategy & Execution

· Develop and execute regional marketing programs aligned with APAC commercial objectives and growth targets.

· Create and implement strategic and tactical marketing campaigns using a mix of digital, field, content, and event-based marketing approaches to drive awareness, demand generation, and customer engagement.

o Plan and execute regional customer events, user meetings, workshops, seminars, webinars, and scientific conferences.

· Develop compelling product positioning, value propositions, sales enablement tools, marketing collateral, and customer-facing presentations to support commercial success.

· Collaborate closely with Distribution Sales Managers, Field Application Scientists, and commercial leadership to develop account-based marketing initiatives and strategic growth programs.

· Collect, analyze, and interpret market intelligence, customer insights, competitive information, and campaign performance metrics to optimize regional marketing effectiveness.

· Develop, manage, and optimize the regional marketing budget to maximize return on investment and support business objectives.

Distributor Marketing & Channel Development

· Partner with APAC distributors to develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with territory growth objectives.

· Train and enable distributor commercial teams on marketing programs, campaign execution, lead generation activities, and new product launch initiatives.

· Develop standardized marketing toolkits, promotional materials, campaign templates, and launch packages for distributor deployment across APAC.

· Monitor distributor marketing execution and effectiveness, ensuring consistent brand positioning and market messaging across the region.

· Lead planning and execution of the APAC Distributor Summit, regional commercial meetings, user meetings, workshops, and customer engagement events.

Product Launch & Market Development

· Lead APAC launch planning and commercialization support for new products, technologies, and strategic growth initiatives.

· Develop and execute regional market development programs to increase awareness, adoption, and utilization of MSD platforms across academic, biopharma, CRO, CDMO, and translational research markets.

· Identify and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), reference sites, and early adopters to support market expansion and product advocacy.

· Collaborate with commercial leadership to identify whitespace opportunities, competitive displacement initiatives, and strategic account development programs.

· Support academic market expansion initiatives and targeted promotional programs to increase adoption and installed base growth.

· Develop and execute APAC launch plans, distributor enablement programs, and commercialization strategies for new product introductions.

Sales Enablement & Commercial Support

· Work closely with regional commercial teams to develop sales tools, campaign materials, customer presentations, and competitive positioning resources.

· Support pipeline generation activities and lead qualification processes in collaboration with Sales, ISR, FAS, and distributor partners.

· Develop marketing programs that contribute measurable impact to opportunity creation, pipeline growth, and revenue generation.

· Track and report marketing performance metrics including lead generation, opportunity creation, campaign ROI, event effectiveness, and contribution to pipeline growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Global Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Communications teams to adapt global campaigns, support regional market requirements, ensure consistent messaging, and maximize the effectiveness of APAC marketing initiatives.

Serve as the primary APAC marketing liaison to Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, and MarCom teams, ensuring regional priorities, launch requirements, and market opportunities are incorporated into global planning processes.

Provide regional market feedback and customer insights to support product strategy, market development, and future commercial planning.

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Proteomics, or related scientific discipline required.

o Advanced degree preferred

Minimum 8 years of marketing, product marketing, commercial marketing, or sales development experience 5+ years’ experience within the life sciences industry required.

Experience working in a regional or field-based marketing capacity in APAC region.

Proven experience supporting distributor-led markets and channel partner engagement.

Experience supporting product launches, demand generation, and market development programs.

Experience working with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot, or similar tools.

Strong understanding of life sciences customers and applications (e.g., pharma, biotech, academia, government labs)

Demonstrated success planning and executing marketing campaigns and events

Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Strong business acumen, negotiation and mediation skills, as well as a demonstrated attention to detail and a focus on achieving quality outcomes. Ability to build/foster relationships.

Comfortable working in a matrixed environment with global and regional stakeholders

A professional presence and strong interpersonal skills for interacting in a courteous, timely, and diplomatic manner with all levels of employees as well as other parties involved with the company.

· While performing this job the employee is required to communicate and exchange information, utilize equipment and move about the office.

· Travel throughout APAC required (50%)

This position is performed in a standard office environment, remote or hybrid model.
