South Africa | Full-time, Remote | Desired start: ASAP

Build meaningful partnerships. Inspire young people. Help create opportunities that change how students see the world.

Love meeting new people? Thrive on building relationships? Motivated by turning opportunities into results?

At Challenges Abroad, we're looking for an enthusiastic, driven and outgoing Regional Development Manager based in South Africa to help grow our network of school partners across the UK.

This isn't about hard selling. It's about making meaningful connections, understanding what matters to schools and introducing overseas experiences that inspire students to step outside their comfort zones, broaden their perspectives and make a positive impact.

Working remotely from South Africa, you'll play an important role in driving our growth in the UK market. You'll identify prospective school partners, reach out to key decision-makers, build relationships and create opportunities for our UK-based team to develop into successful partnerships and student programmes.

We're looking for someone who is confident starting conversations, comfortable engaging with people remotely and genuinely enjoys the challenge of opening new doors. You'll need initiative, persistence and the ability to turn initial interest into real opportunities.

If you're a natural relationship-builder with a proactive mindset, a passion for international education and student travel, and the motivation to make things happen, we'd love to hear from you!

A Little About Us

Challenges Abroad is a social enterprise and certified B Corp, providing impactful, customised overseas learning programmes for students in further, higher and vocational education. Our Mission is to develop the next generation of Global Citizens who, as future leaders, will help shape a better future for everyone.

Challenges Abroad is a part of the FutureSense Group, a collective of purpose-driven organisations working across international youth travel, gap year programmes, and community development. We are a global team united by a shared culture and a common mission to create real social impact.

What You'll Bring

  • Some demonstrated success in business development, sales, partnerships or a similar relationship-focused role.
  • A confident, outgoing personality and a natural ability to build genuine relationships.
  • A driven, independent and proactive approach, with the motivation to turn opportunities into results.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage school leaders, staff, students and parents.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own priorities and pipeline.
  • A genuine passion for student travel, education and global citizenship.

Experience in educational travel or working with schools would be an advantage, but it's not essential. We're happy to train someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and potential.

You don't need to tick every box. If this sounds like an opportunity where you could make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Get

You will have a base salary of R30,000 ZAR per month, with some flexibility based on your experience, alongside a competitive performance-based bonus structure.

You'll receive training and ongoing support, the opportunity to take ownership of your work and the chance to contribute directly to the growth of our school partnerships.

Most importantly, you'll be part of an international, purpose-driven team helping more young people access meaningful experiences abroad.

Ready to Make Your Mark?

If you're passionate about people, motivated by success and excited by the opportunity to build something meaningful, we'd love to meet you.

Shortlisted candidates will receive a detailed Role Information Pack, including responsibilities, remuneration and working arrangements. The pack will also provide more information about the application process.

Challenges Abroad welcomes applicants from different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Reasonable adjustments are available throughout our recruitment process.

Please contact recruitment@futuresense.co.uk if you have any trouble with your application.
