About Bolt

Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.
From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.
And we’re just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.

  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.

  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you’ll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.

  • Join one of Europe’s leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.

About the role

As Regional People Partner, you work with regional and country leaders to turn business goals into people priorities. You spot what matters to local teams through data and conversations with stakeholders, then shape people initiatives, practices and policies that fit local markets and stay true to Bolt’s culture. You partner closely with colleagues across the People team and Centres of Expertise to deliver a great manager and employee experience and operational excellence in the markets you support.

This role is based in Berlin.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with country and regional leaders, offering HR thought partnership, coaching and data-driven insight to improve employee engagement, well-being and the employee experience in your markets.

  • Own the delivery of People initiatives through local leaders and managers (performance management, succession planning, organisational design, compensation reviews, talent management, D&I programmes, exit interviews), so every manager gets a consistent standard of support.

  • Support leadership growth by contributing to management coaching and team-building, and by educating managers on Bolt People processes and leadership topics in line with the Regional People Strategy.

  • Lead on employee relations, including disciplinary and performance matters and in-country employee unions, while ensuring compliance with local labour law. Build the internal legal knowledge base and manager training materials so reliance on external counsel decreases over time.

  • Draft and implement in-country policies aligned with best practice and HR governance standards, and keep an eye on the cost and quality of HR service providers (labour lawyers, benefits providers) to get the best value.

About you:

  • You’re a trusted advisor who builds credibility with senior leaders and coaches managers to make better people decisions.

  • You have proven experience delivering a broad range of People programmes, from performance and talent management to engagement and organisational design.

  • You’re confident handling employee relations matters and have a solid working knowledge of local labour law, including working with unions or employee representatives.

  • You use data to find the themes behind what’s happening in teams and turn them into clear, practical actions.

  • You speak German fluently, work well across teams and markets, and balance consistent global standards with local needs.

Why you’ll love it here

  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.

  • Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.

  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.

  • Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.

  • Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.

  • Balance flexibility and in-person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in-office days.

Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
