platform that connects volunteers with organisations and helps people contribute their skills to causes they care about. Our mission is to unlock global participation. Organisations can create a profile and publish volunteering opportunities; volunteers can discover roles that match their skills, interests and availability.
The role
We are hiring an experienced B2B salesperson who can open markets and close paid business. You will own the commercial cycle for Mustbeus organisation subscriptions: prospecting, discovery, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, close, onboarding into paid value, expansion and renewal. You will also build partnerships that create qualified pipeline at scale. This is a revenue role with a fixed salary and performance commission.
The primary outcome is profitable, retained subscription revenue. You will convert qualified organisations from free access to paid Superhero or Professional plans when the additional features and support fit their needs, and identify larger partnership opportunities for leadership approval. Registrations and free listings matter only when they create a credible path to paid conversion, retention or a strategic channel.
What you will do
Own a revenue-led territory plan across agreed African countries, the UK and Europe, and selected Asian markets. Rank countries and segments by reachable demand, willingness to pay, sales cycle and revenue potential; define target accounts, decision-makers and quarterly activity.
Build and manage a qualified B2B pipeline from first contact to signed, paid subscription and renewal. Engage NGOs, charities, community organisations, social enterprises, universities, foundations, CSR and ESG teams, and other organisations with recurring volunteer recruitment needs. Qualify need, budget, authority, timing and the decision process.
Lead discovery and product demonstrations; connect customer needs to the right paid plan; present pricing and proposals; handle objections and procurement questions; negotiate within approved terms; and ask for the business. Own follow-up through signed agreement and first payment.
Onboard new paid customers to value quickly. Support profile completion, opportunity publication, team adoption and use of paid features; identify adoption risks early and coordinate support to protect retention and renewal.
Create partner channels that generate qualified sales pipeline. Develop relationships with NGO associations and federations, chambers of commerce, umbrella bodies, volunteer centres, universities, community networks, professional associations and corporate volunteering programmes. Agree partner value, referral routes and measurable commercial outcomes.
Design and test responsible growth loops that create both demand and revenue: partner referrals, member cohort onboarding, local volunteer ambassadors, skills-based campaigns, webinars, community events and opportunity-sharing toolkits. Track which loops generate qualified meetings, paid conversions and retained revenue.
Connect organisation sales with volunteer participation. Prioritise opportunities with a realistic route to suitable volunteers, and work with marketing and partners to help customers see outcomes from their subscription.
Collect customer and lost-deal feedback. Share evidence with product, marketing and leadership on pricing, packaging, onboarding, trust, localisation and market fit; recommend changes that improve conversion, retention and revenue.
Keep the CRM and forecast accurate. Report by market and channel on qualified pipeline, stage conversion, proposals, win rate, new paid customers, new MRR/ARR, cash collected, upgrades, renewals, churn and forecast accuracy. Use the numbers to prioritise effort and improve the sales process.
Represent Mustbeus professionally in customer meetings, partner events and relevant sector forums; build credibility while making clear, accurate commercial claims.
What strong performance looks like
A consistently qualified pipeline with named decision-makers, a clear buying process, expected contract value and dated next steps.
New paid organisation subscriptions and collected recurring revenue, with a growing share of suitable free organisations upgrading to Superhero or Professional plans.
Partner channels that generate qualified sales opportunities and paid customers repeatedly, rather than one-off announcements or untracked signups.
Improving conversion from qualified lead to meeting, proposal, paid close and renewal; reliable sales-cycle and revenue forecasts; and lower acquisition cost per retained paying organisation over time.
Customers who use the platform to publish credible opportunities, engage volunteers and experience enough value to renew. Volunteer participation supports retention; it is not a substitute for revenue performance.
Quarterly bookings and collected-revenue targets agreed with the manager, based on the starting pipeline, product readiness, market economics and ramp period.
What you bring
At least 4 years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience with evidence of personally closing paid subscriptions, software, services or comparable recurring-revenue contracts. Experience in SaaS, a digital marketplace, nonprofit technology, social impact, education, HR or an adjacent service is useful.
A measurable record of revenue ownership: quota or target, pipeline created, deals closed, average contract value, sales cycle and retention or expansion. Be prepared to distinguish your own results from team results.
Experience selling across cultures and building relationships in at least one priority region. Existing access to NGO networks, associations, universities, chambers or corporate responsibility teams is valuable when it can create qualified commercial opportunities.
Strong discovery, product demonstration, pricing, objection handling, negotiation and closing skills. You can ask for a decision, manage a no, and protect value without pressure or overpromising.
Commercial judgement and comfort with quotas, CRM systems, pipeline reviews, revenue forecasting and funnel analysis. You can explain how you would improve paid conversion and retention, not just increase leads.
Excellent written and spoken English. Additional languages relevant to target markets are a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently across time zones, prioritise well and collaborate with a small, distributed team.
Genuine interest in volunteering, community development or widening access to meaningful participation.
Compensation and sales targets
The role combines a fixed salary with variable commission. The fixed salary supports sustained market development; commission rewards closed, paid and retained business. Before the role begins, Mustbeus will document the local salary band, quota and ramp period, commission rate or formula, attribution rules, payment timing, treatment of refunds and cancellations, and renewal or expansion credit.
Recommended commission basis: a defined percentage of net subscription revenue actually collected from new paid accounts attributable to the representative, with a clear period of credit and accelerators for exceeding quota. Consider a smaller renewal or upgrade share where the representative owns that work. Do not pay commission for free registrations alone. Insert the actual rate, quota and payment schedule before publishing the vacancy.
