The role

As a Regulatory Assurance Specialist, you'll play a key role in strengthening Beyond Bank's compliance framework by delivering independent assurance reviews and providing trusted insights that support effective risk management and regulatory outcomes. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to assess controls, identify improvement opportunities, and help drive a strong culture of compliance.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and deliver regulatory assurance reviews across key compliance obligations.
  • Assess the effectiveness of business processes, controls and regulatory compliance outcomes.
  • Complete independent assurance reviews to meet external regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Identify control weaknesses, process gaps and compliance issues, providing practical recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare clear, concise assurance reports and present findings to stakeholders and leaders.
  • Monitor and challenge remediation actions to ensure issues are effectively addressed and closed.
  • Conduct targeted reviews of high-risk areas and emerging compliance risks.
  • Provide coaching, technical guidance and quality review support to enhance team capability and assurance best practice

About you

You're a detail-oriented assurance, audit or compliance professional who enjoys analysing complex information, challenging the status quo and partnering with stakeholders to improve outcomes. You bring strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the confidence to communicate findings at all levels of the organisation.

  • 4-5 years minimum experience working in an audit, assurance, risk, compliance or consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and the ability to interpret legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience conducting reviews, assessing controls and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent report-writing skills with the ability to clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build credibility across the business.
  • Experience analysing, interpreting and presenting data to support decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other reporting or business systems

What does our recruitment process look like?
