Your Role Start your career in regulatory operations with a role that gives you real responsibility from day one. We're hiring Regulatory Operations Analysts through our Elevate Programme in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing data, solving problems, working with detail, and contributing to processes that help organisations meet important regulatory obligations. In this role, you'll support the delivery of Business As Usual (BAU) regulatory reporting activities across multiple regulatory regimes, including MiFID II, REMIT, EMIR, and SFTR. You'll work across reporting, reconciliations, investigations, management information, and process improvement activities, helping ensure that regulatory reporting remains accurate, complete, and compliant. What you'll be doing You'll support the delivery of regulatory reporting activities and operational controls, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with established requirements. Your day-to-day work is likely to include: Supporting the production and delivery of regulatory reports in line with agreed control frameworks. Conducting internal and external reconciliations to validate reporting accuracy and completeness. Investigating reporting exceptions, breaks, and data discrepancies. Maintaining strong oversight and control of regulatory reporting processes and data. Producing management information and operational reporting for key stakeholders. Analysing data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Working with technology teams to support process enhancements and data quality improvements. Assisting with regulatory, audit, and client deliverables to ensure deadlines are met. Supporting process improvement and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce risk. Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support governance and control requirements. Providing support across multiple reporting processes and regulatory obligations as required. Participating in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives. What a typical day could look like Joining a morning team meeting to discuss priorities, reporting deadlines, and emerging issues. Reviewing daily reconciliation results and investigating any exceptions identified. Analysing reporting data to ensure regulatory submissions are accurate and complete. Preparing management information reports for operational and stakeholder review. Working with colleagues and technology teams to resolve data-quality or process issues. Supporting the production and submission of regulatory reports. Identifying opportunities to automate or improve existing processes. Updating trackers and documentation to ensure clear audit trails and reporting oversight. Reviewing progress against deadlines and preparing priorities for the next day. What We're Looking For We're open to graduates, career changers, and individuals with some early professional experience. You do not need to have worked in regulatory reporting before. We're likely to be interested in people who can demonstrate: Essential Requirements Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent organisational and workload management skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Desirable Requirements Knowledge or interest in financial markets and financial services. Previous experience in an operational, reporting, analytical, or financial services environment. Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis. Experience using reporting, workflow, or case management systems. Exposure to regulatory reporting, controls, reconciliations, or audit activities. An interest in regulatory operations, compliance, risk management, or financial regulation.
