Remote | BigLaw lawyers (Litigation/Corporate/M&A) — $140–$400/hour
24-MAGWe are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced BigLaw lawyers with strong expertise across litigation, corporate law, M&A, legal analysis, research, drafting, content review, and quality assurance to contribute to an advanced legal AI training and evaluation project.
Selected professionals will apply top-tier legal training and experience from sophisticated, high-stakes matters to analyse legal issues, research U.S. law, draft and review legal materials, and provide structured feedback on complex legal content. Experience at one or more Vault Law 100 firms is a mandatory requirement for this engagement. No prior experience in AI is required.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Analysis & Research
- Conduct comprehensive legal analysis across a range of U.S. law topics
- Perform in-depth legal research to support complex project requirements
- Identify relevant legal principles, authorities, and practical considerations
- Evaluate nuanced legal questions using sound professional judgement
- Ensure analysis reflects accurate and appropriately current legal information
Legal Drafting & Content Development
- Draft, review, and edit legal memoranda, opinions, contracts, and related documents
- Apply professional legal-writing standards across varied practice areas
- Refine legal content for clarity, structure, precision, and analytical quality
- Identify weaknesses in reasoning, drafting, or issue spotting
- Produce high-quality written work suitable for expert-level evaluation
Litigation, Corporate & M&A Review
- Review legal materials involving litigation, corporate matters, and M&A transactions
- Analyse complex factual and legal scenarios across multiple practice areas
- Identify material legal risks, inconsistencies, and missing considerations
- Apply practical judgement developed through sophisticated legal practice
- Evaluate whether legal outputs appropriately reflect relevant professional standards
Legal Content Evaluation & Quality Assurance
- Assess legal texts for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with best practices
- Identify errors, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and unsupported conclusions
- Provide structured feedback on legal reasoning and written work
- Apply consistent quality standards across repeated review tasks
- Support rigorous quality assurance across complex legal materials
Remote & Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Collaborate with legal, research, product, and technical contributors in a remote environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary review of complex legal scenarios
- Communicate sophisticated legal concepts clearly to varied audiences
- Incorporate feedback efficiently across iterative project cycles
- Contribute constructively to distributed project workflows and quality standards
Ideal Profile
- Mandatory current or prior experience at one or more Vault Law 100 firms
- Active licence to practise law is strongly preferred
- Strong academic credentials and top-tier legal training
- Experience handling sophisticated or high-stakes litigation, corporate, M&A, or related matters
- Demonstrated ability in legal analysis, legal research, and legal drafting
- Exposure to multiple legal practice areas is highly valuable
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong experience reviewing and editing complex legal content
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to legal accuracy
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in remote and multidisciplinary environments
- Experience with quality assurance or rubric-based evaluation of legal documents is advantageous
- No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

- Independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote
- Compensation: $140–$400/hour
- Vault Law 100 experience is a mandatory qualification for this engagement
- Work will involve legal analysis, legal research, drafting, content review, and quality assurance across litigation, corporate, M&A, and other U.S. law topics
- Strong legal judgement, written communication, and attention to detail are central to the role
- Project scope, workload, legal subject matter, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
- Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party
