Remote | Lawyer — $60–$75/hour

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced Lawyers with strong expertise in contract review, legal research, regulatory compliance, legal writing, and complex legal analysis to contribute to an advanced AI training and legal-evaluation project.

Selected professionals will review contracts, research statutes and case law, analyse regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, draft and evaluate legal documents, and provide clear written rationales supporting legal conclusions. The work requires strong legal judgement, precise written communication, and the ability to identify nuanced risks and ambiguities. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Review & Risk Analysis

• Conduct detailed reviews of commercial and legal agreements
• Identify legal risks, ambiguities, inconsistencies, and drafting weaknesses
• Assess contractual provisions for clarity, enforceability, and practical impact
• Recommend improvements to contract language where appropriate
• Apply sound legal judgement across varied contractual scenarios

Legal Research

• Conduct comprehensive research across statutes, regulations, and case law
• Identify relevant legal authorities supporting project requirements
• Analyse legal issues across multiple jurisdictions
• Distinguish controlling authority from persuasive or secondary sources
• Translate research findings into clear and practical legal conclusions

Legal Drafting & Document Review

• Draft, edit, and evaluate a range of legal documents
• Review legal writing for accuracy, clarity, structure, and completeness
• Identify unsupported conclusions or weaknesses in legal reasoning
• Improve drafting while preserving intended legal meaning
• Apply professional legal-writing standards consistently

Regulatory Compliance

• Analyse regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions
• Evaluate whether legal content aligns with applicable standards
• Identify potential compliance gaps or interpretive issues
• Provide practical guidance on regulatory considerations
• Apply careful judgement where legal requirements vary by jurisdiction

Legal Analysis & Written Rationale

• Develop structured explanations supporting legal positions and decisions
• Analyse complex legal questions and competing interpretations
• Communicate legal reasoning clearly to both legal and non-legal audiences
• Document assumptions, relevant authorities, and analytical conclusions
• Maintain a high standard of precision across written submissions

AI Training & Legal Quality Assurance

• Review legal data and AI-generated legal content for quality and accuracy
• Identify recurring errors in legal reasoning or documentation
• Provide structured feedback to improve training and evaluation materials
• Help refine standards for legal-content quality assurance
• Collaborate asynchronously on iterative improvements to project materials

Ideal Profile

• Active law licence or bar admission
• At least 5 years of legal practice in contract law, compliance, or a closely related specialty
• Strong expertise in contract review and legal risk analysis
• Demonstrated legal research experience
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance
• Excellent legal-writing and document-review skills
• Strong critical-thinking and analytical ability
• Exceptional attention to legal nuance and detail
• Ability to interpret laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to varied audiences
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, project-based environment
• Familiarity with legal technology tools is advantageous but not required
• No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

• Assignments may involve contracts, statutes, regulations, case law, legal memoranda, and other professional legal materials
• Project scope, workload, legal topics, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
• Work must be completed without using confidential or privileged information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party
