We Could Use Someone Like You in Our Crew!
The NBA season is officially underway, and the excitement of game day is back! 🏀 Are you ready to put your basketball knowledge to good use? If you follow the latest matchups, know your favorite teams and players, and love being part of the conversation when the game is on the line, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We're looking for passionate NBA fans who can bring their knowledge, enthusiasm, and communication skills to a dynamic live sports engagement project.
You'll help bring the excitement of NBA basketball beyond the court by interacting with fans, following live-game conversations, and helping create a positive, respectful, and engaging digital environment before, during, and after games.
We're looking for more than just basketball fans—we want people who genuinely live and breathe the NBA. From following team performances and player storylines to keeping up with trades, rivalries, and the latest league developments, you should be familiar with what's happening on and off the court. Your basketball knowledge should allow you to jump into live fan conversations naturally, understand the excitement behind every big play, and connect with fans who share your passion for the game.
You May Be a Great Fit If You:
- Regularly follow NBA games, teams, players, and league developments.
- Have strong knowledge of NBA teams, player performances, basketball rules, and game terminology.
- Recognize major teams, star players, rivalries, and current NBA storylines.
- Enjoy discussing game highlights, trades, playoffs, team strategies, and memorable basketball moments.
- Understand basketball fan culture, humor, slang, and online conversations.
- Stay up to date with the NBA season and current basketball news.
- Can follow fast-moving basketball discussions without needing to research basic context.
- Can engage naturally with fans while remaining respectful and professional.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor and moderate live digital engagement during NBA games and related basketball events.
- Engage with basketball fans in real time using the appropriate brand voice and communication style.
- Respond naturally to fan comments, reactions, questions, and game-related conversations.
- Contribute to lively, positive, and inclusive online fan communities.
- Recognize and escalate inappropriate, abusive, or policy-violating content.
- Adapt your messaging based on game situations, fan sentiment, and community guidelines.
- Help maintain a respectful environment while allowing fans to express their passion for basketball.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth live-event coverage.
- Maintain accuracy, responsiveness, and consistency during high-volume game-day conversations.
- Stay informed about relevant NBA news, team developments, and player storylines.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong written communication skills in English, including excellent grammar and spelling.
- Genuine passion for basketball and strong working knowledge of the NBA.
- Familiarity with NBA teams, players, rules, terminology, and current league storylines.
- Ability to communicate naturally and engage with sports fans in an online environment.
- Strong judgment and the ability to recognize when conversations require moderation or escalation.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different communication styles and community guidelines.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, live-event environment.
- Confidence communicating professionally with fans and internal teams.
- Previous experience in social media moderation, online community management, customer engagement, or digital content moderation is an advantage.
- Experience moderating live sports or entertainment events is a plus.
- US-based candidates who can accommodate live NBA game schedules.
Workspace Requirements:
- A dedicated laptop or desktop computer.
- Minimum of 8 GB RAM.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Willingness to install required ModSquad security software and enable two-factor authentication on both your computer and mobile phone.
Project Hours & Commitment:
Because this project supports live NBA games, available working hours will depend on the basketball schedule and the events requiring coverage.
- A minimum commitment of 7.5 hours per week when events are scheduled.
- Candidates should be comfortable with a flexible, event-based schedule and understand that work availability depends on the live-game calendar.
- Flexible availability around live NBA games is required, including evenings and weekends.
- Individual events may require several hours of coverage, depending on the game schedule and project needs.
- Weekly hours may fluctuate throughout the NBA season.
Ready to Bring Your Basketball Passion to the Conversation?
