Remote HVAC Estimator (Dayshift)

Job Description This is a remote position. DAYSHIFT WORK FROM HOME JOB DESCRIPTION: Remote HVAC Estimator 30 Hours to start (May transition to Fulltime 40hours based on performance) VA RATE : $10AUD per hour The client is a proudly Australian-owned air conditioning company delivering end-to-end HVAC solutions across Sydney—from multi-split and ducted installations to VRV/VRF systems, smart AC automation, and specialised ventilation (including carpark systems). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Prepare accurate project estimates for HVAC systems (split, ducted, VRV/VRF, ventilation, automation) based on scopes from sales or site visits. ● Conduct sizing and capacity assessments to recommend appropriate units and accessories. ● Generate timely proposals with detailed cost breakdowns for equipment, labor, and materials. ● Coordinate with suppliers to get competitive pricing and check stock/availability. ● Monitor costs against estimates; track variances and provide post-job analysis. ● Work closely with sales teams and technicians to align on quoting, timelines, and technical feasibility. ● Maintain quote logs, templates, and naming conventions in your system. ● Provide support for tendering key projects such as commercial AC, carpark ventilation, or automation upgrades. Job Requirements: ● 2 years proven HVAC estimating experience—ideally in multi-split, ducted, VRV/VRF, or ventilation systems. ● Familiarity with Australian construction standards is highly desirable. - compliance with Australian standards ● Solid understanding of HVAC design, sizing, controls, and system integration (e.g. smart automation). ● Proficiency in quotation tools (e.g. Excel, job estimating software). ● Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and pricing accuracy. ● Effective communicator; able to liaise with sales, suppliers, and technicians. ● Self-motivated, reliable, and flexible in a hybrid work setup.
