We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced U.S.-licensed litigators and practicing attorneys with strong expertise in legal reasoning, litigation strategy, legal writing, analytical review, and complex case evaluation to contribute to an advanced AI training and legal-content evaluation project.

Selected professionals will review and refine AI-generated legal content, assess briefs, arguments, memoranda, and litigation-oriented responses for accuracy and professional quality, and provide expert judgement on complex or ambiguous legal issues. The work requires strong substantive legal experience, precise written communication, and the ability to distinguish sound legal reasoning from incomplete, unsupported, or inaccurate analysis. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Reasoning & Analysis

  • Evaluate complex legal questions using sound legal reasoning
  • Assess whether conclusions are supported by relevant legal principles
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or unsupported assumptions
  • Analyse ambiguous factual and legal scenarios
  • Apply professional judgement to nuanced legal issues

Litigation Content Review

  • Review AI-generated briefs, arguments, memoranda, and related legal content
  • Assess litigation-oriented responses for substantive accuracy
  • Evaluate the strength and structure of legal arguments
  • Identify weaknesses in reasoning, issue framing, or factual application
  • Apply practical litigation experience to content evaluation

Legal Accuracy & Professional Standards

  • Review outputs for factual and legal accuracy
  • Assess adherence to professional legal-writing standards
  • Identify incorrect statements of law or misleading interpretations
  • Evaluate whether legal analysis appropriately reflects uncertainty
  • Support consistent quality standards across legal-content tasks

Ambiguous & Complex Case Evaluation

  • Apply calibrated judgement to difficult or borderline legal scenarios
  • Analyse competing interpretations of complex issues
  • Distinguish material legal differences from minor drafting variations
  • Identify when additional legal authority or factual development would be required
  • Contribute expert judgement to improve model handling of nuanced cases

Legal Writing & Editing

  • Draft and edit sample legal arguments
  • Refine legal language for clarity, precision, and professional tone
  • Improve organisation and analytical structure
  • Strengthen issue presentation and argumentative coherence
  • Provide examples of high-quality litigation-oriented writing

Error Identification & Feedback

  • Identify legal, factual, and logical errors in AI-generated responses
  • Provide detailed written explanations of deficiencies
  • Recommend specific improvements
  • Distinguish substantive errors from stylistic preferences
  • Produce clear and actionable evaluation feedback

AI Legal Evaluation

  • Assess AI-generated legal outputs across varied litigation and practice scenarios
  • Help improve model calibration on complex legal questions
  • Evaluate analytical rigour and professional usefulness
  • Support model training through structured legal review
  • Contribute subject-matter expertise to legal AI evaluation workflows

Remote Collaboration

  • Collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional project teams
  • Incorporate iterative feedback into review workflows
  • Communicate legal reasoning clearly in written form
  • Support consistent standards across reviewers
  • Work independently while meeting project quality expectations

Ideal Profile

  • JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school
  • Active licence in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 3–15 years of post-JD legal experience
  • Strong background in litigation, trial practice, or appellate work
  • Demonstrated expertise in legal reasoning and analytical review
  • Strong legal-writing experience
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues with clarity and precision
  • Judicial clerkship experience at the federal or state level is highly valued
  • Trial experience is advantageous
  • Federal court admissions are valuable
  • Appellate-practice experience is highly relevant
  • Law journal editorial experience or published legal writing is advantageous
  • Prior legal teaching experience as faculty, adjunct, lecturer, or fellow is desirable
  • Strong judgement in ambiguous or fact-sensitive matters
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • High attention to analytical and professional detail
  • No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

  • Compensation: $80–$140/hour
  • Work will involve legal reasoning, litigation analysis, legal writing, brief and memorandum review, ambiguous-case evaluation, and AI-generated legal-content assessment
  • Strong U.S. litigation and practicing-attorney experience is central to this engagement
  • Assignments may involve trial, appellate, litigation, briefing, motion practice, legal analysis, and professional legal-writing scenarios
  • Project scope, workload, legal topics, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
  • Work must be completed without using confidential, privileged, proprietary, client-identifiable, sealed, or otherwise restricted information belonging to any client, law firm, court matter, employer, government entity, or other third party
