Remote Marketplace Developer
Excelsior GroupAbout Us
Excelsior Group is one of the fastest-growing consumer product companies.
We built a $45M/year business from scratch by launching products fast, learning fast, and dominating Amazon through speed and execution.
Today, 98% of our revenue comes from Amazon.
Not because other channels don’t work, but because we haven’t fully pursued them yet.
This means:
There is a massive, global, untouched opportunity to expand into other marketplaces and distribution channels.
- We’ve launched 600+ products in the last 12 months.
- We have domestic inventory in: US, Canada, Europe, Australia, China.
- We have a product engine capable of pushing dozens of SKUs per week.
But we’ve barely begun expanding outside Amazon.
We’re now hiring a Marketplace Developer to systematically conquer new markets, one after another.
You’ll be working directly with the CEO.
Your mission is ambitious but clear:
Identify high-leverage marketplaces, launch our products there, set up the entire operational process, hand it over, then move to the next one.
You are the spearhead of our global expansion.
This is a unique role combining:
• Strategy
• Market analysis
• Logistics
• Pricing
• Negotiation
• Light project management
• Cross-border coordination
Your job is to open revenue streams, and to open them properly.
What You’ll Do
1. Identify High-Leverage Marketplaces
You will research and prioritize expansion opportunities across:
• Amazon marketplaces we’re not in yet (Japan, Singapore, UAE, Brazil, etc.)
• Global marketplaces (Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Newegg, Allegro, CDiscount, Lazada, Shopee, etc.)
• Retail channels
You evaluate opportunities based on:
• Profitability
• Logistics feasibility
• Competition
• Category potential
• Review landscape
• Operational complexity
Then you pick the highest-ROI one and attack it.
2. Launch & Deploy
For each new marketplace, you will:
• Set up accounts, compliance, and logistics flows
• Identify the best fulfillment system
• Ship from our Chinese warehouse (e.g., Southeast Asia)
• Ship from EU inventory (e.g., EU marketplaces)
• Ship from Amazon USA stock (e.g., Walmart US)
• Ship domestically to new markets (e.g., Japan)
• Establish pricing and profitability models
• Prepare and upload catalog
• Implement review syndication (where allowed)
• Get products live and operational
Your goal: launch fast, clean, and profitably.
3. Build Repeatable Systems
Once a marketplace is launched:
• Document the exact steps
• Build SOPs
• Train an internal team member to take ownership
• Hand it off smoothly
• Move to the next expansion opportunity
Your role is not to “stay and maintain.”
Your role is to open new channels, systematize them, then advance.
4. Ensure Meaningful Impact
This is not about adding €200k in small marketplaces.
This is about:
• Entering Japan properly
• Building a real presence in Southeast Asia
• Expanding strategically into Walmart or Best Buy
• Unlocking retail the right way
• Creating distribution that materially increases company revenue without overcomplicating operations
Each new marketplace you open should have the potential to add millions, not marginal revenue.
5. Work With Leadership
You will work closely with:
• CEO
• COO
• Supply chain team
• Product operations
• Amazon operations
This is a cross-functional, strategic role with high visibility.
