Remote | Strategic Project Lead — $300,000–$500,000/year

We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced Strategic Project Lead with strong expertise in project leadership, data operations, technical programme management, and human-data workflows to lead complex projects supporting advanced AI initiatives.

The role will own projects from initial scoping through execution and delivery, translating customer requirements into actionable specifications, designing scalable data workflows, coordinating operational and domain teams, and maintaining a high standard of quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Ownership & Delivery

• Own complex projects from initial framing and scoping through execution and final delivery
• Translate broad objectives into structured project plans, milestones, and deliverables
• Maintain strong execution cadence across multiple workstreams
• Identify blockers early and drive timely resolution
• Ensure projects meet agreed quality, timeline, and operational requirements

Customer Requirements & Project Scoping

• Translate customer needs into clear and actionable project specifications
• Clarify objectives, constraints, success criteria, and delivery expectations
• Convert ambiguous requirements into practical execution plans
• Maintain alignment between customer priorities and internal project teams
• Adjust project scope and execution plans as requirements evolve

Data Pipelines & Operational Design

• Design and launch data pipelines supporting AI training and evaluation workflows
• Improve pipeline usability, clarity, quality, and scalability
• Structure human-data operations for efficient and reliable execution
• Identify opportunities to strengthen workflow performance and operational consistency
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams on data-intensive project requirements

Team Leadership & Quality Execution

• Coordinate Operations, domain experts, and project leads for rapid deployment
• Manage contributors and stakeholders across complex project workflows
• Establish clear ownership, responsibilities, and quality expectations
• Monitor project performance and address delivery or quality issues
• Support high standards across human-data and expert-driven workstreams

Communication & Programme Management

• Own customer communication throughout project execution
• Provide clear updates on progress, milestones, risks, blockers, and next steps
• Maintain direct and consistent communication across internal and external stakeholders
• Drive alignment across technical, operational, and domain teams
• Support fast decision-making in dynamic and high-intensity environments

Ideal Profile

• 2+ years of experience leading complex projects, technical programmes, or operational workflows
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
• Background in data operations, engineering, computer science, or technical project management
• Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguity into structured plans and execute quickly
• Strong ownership, urgency, and attention to detail
• Experience managing cross-functional teams or expert contributors
• Familiarity with data pipelines and data-intensive operational workflows
• Startup or entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward execution
• Experience with AI/ML companies, AI labs, data annotation, or evaluation projects is highly valuable
• Familiarity with AI training workflows and human-in-the-loop operations is advantageous
• Technical background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, remote environment

Engagement Details

• Full-time engagement
• Fully remote
• Compensation: $300,000–$500,000/year
• Work will involve strategic project leadership, customer scoping, data-pipeline design, human-data operations, stakeholder coordination, and delivery management
• Strong communication, project ownership, and execution discipline are central to this role
