Remote | Video Annotation Specialist — $8–$10/hour

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced data annotation, content review, and quality-assurance professionals to contribute to an advanced AI training project focused on video and audio analysis.

Selected professionals will review short video and audio clips, evaluate AI-generated descriptions, apply detailed annotation guidelines, and provide clear written feedback on errors, ambiguities, and quality issues. The work focuses on consistent judgement, accurate labelling, data integrity, and reliable evaluation across high-volume multimedia content. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Video & Audio Annotation

• Review short video and audio clips across a variety of content types
• Analyse both visual and auditory elements for detailed annotation and assessment
• Apply project-specific labels and evaluation criteria consistently
• Identify relevant events, objects, actions, speech, sounds, and other content features
• Maintain high annotation accuracy across repetitive and high-volume tasks

AI-Generated Content Evaluation

• Evaluate AI-generated descriptions against the underlying video and audio content
• Verify whether generated outputs accurately reflect the source material
• Identify factual errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and ambiguous descriptions
• Assess outputs according to defined project guidelines and quality standards
• Flag content that does not meet requirements or requires further clarification

Written Feedback & Quality Assurance

• Provide clear and concise written feedback on inaccuracies, uncertainties, and annotation issues
• Explain evaluation decisions when additional reasoning is required
• Apply consistent and objective judgement across similar examples
• Support quality-assurance processes designed to improve annotation reliability
• Help maintain strong standards for data accuracy and model-training quality

Project Guidelines & Process Improvement

• Follow annotation protocols, project instructions, and data-handling requirements carefully
• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and other contributors
• Adapt quickly to new annotation tools, guidelines, and evolving quality standards
• Identify recurring workflow or annotation issues and suggest practical improvements
• Maintain data confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the engagement

Ideal Profile

• Experience in data annotation, data labelling, content moderation, or related review work
• Experience working with video or audio data is strongly preferred
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to provide clear written and verbal feedback
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent judgement across repetitive tasks
• Familiarity with content review, generalist training, or guideline-based evaluation is advantageous
• Comfortable working independently and reliably in a remote project environment
• Ability to learn new annotation tools, protocols, and quality standards quickly
• Strong commitment to data accuracy, confidentiality, and process compliance
• Adaptable approach to changing project requirements and annotation standards
• No prior experience in AI research or model training is required
