Show job description
Company Description ComputaNova Life Sciences (Pvt.) Limited is a modern bioinformatics and computational research platform specializing in advanced in-silico solutions for life sciences. The organization focuses on areas such as vaccine development, drug design, genome and whole-genome sequencing (WGS) analysis, whole-exome sequencing (WES), and next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis. It also provides expertise in metagenomics, RNA sequencing/transcriptomic analysis, molecular docking, and density functional theory (DFT) analysis. In addition, ComputaNova supports scientific communication through manuscript writing and offers scientific training to help researchers build and expand their skills in computational biology and related fields.
Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Research Collaborator. The Research Collaborator will contribute to bioinformatics and computational research projects, assisting with study design, data processing, analysis, and interpretation across areas such as genome, WGS, WES, NGS, and transcriptomic datasets. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing in-silico experiments (e.g., molecular docking, vaccine design, drug design), executing and refining analytical pipelines, documenting methods and results, and supporting manuscript preparation for scientific publications. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in virtual meetings, sharing progress updates, and helping develop training materials or resources for scientific capacity building. The Research Collaborator is expected to work independently, manage timelines, and maintain high standards of scientific rigor and data integrity in a remote environment.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in bioinformatics and computational biology, with experience in genome, WGS, WES, NGS, metagenomics, or RNA-seq/transcriptomic analysis.
  • Proficiency in in-silico methods such as molecular docking, vaccine and drug design, and familiarity with DFT or related computational chemistry tools.
  • Ability to design and execute analytical workflows using relevant software, scripting languages (e.g., Python, R), and command-line tools in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience in scientific writing, including manuscript drafting, literature review, and preparation of figures, tables, and supplementary materials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, data quality, and reproducibility of research results.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in remote, multidisciplinary research teams.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the capacity to handle multiple projects and meet agreed timelines.
  • Master’s or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, biotechnology, computer science, or a related life science field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Prior experience in academic, industry, or collaborative
