Retail Director

Role Description The Retail Director is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing retail-related activities within RFB Investment House’s portfolio and internal initiatives. This role involves developing and implementing retail strategies that support portfolio company growth, monitoring sales performance, and identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and revenue. The Retail Director will collaborate with founders and internal stakeholders to guide store or channel operations, ensure alignment with financial goals, and provide insight into market trends and competitive positioning. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing performance reports, advising on retail operations, supporting budgeting and resource allocation, and coaching teams on best practices in sales and customer engagement. The role requires proactive communication, regular virtual meetings, and the ability to manage priorities across multiple early-stage businesses.

• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with early-stage or growth-stage businesses, knowledge of technology or hi-tech markets, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with digital collaboration tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) and the ability to work effectively in a remote, multicultural environment.
