At S5, we are on a mission to make Advanced Data Science consumable to Business Users. S5 is a SaaS software provider of AI/ML-powered products which transform planning and decision making capabilities across the digital supply chain for the Retail and CPG industries.

The Role:
We’re looking for a Retail Solutions Architect who loves helping people, solving problems, and wants to play a major role in the success of our Retail clients. You have a strong technical aptitude, customer-facing experience, experience working in the Retail industry, and are comfortable in a fast-paced working environment. You will be responsible for helping implement S5's Retail Platform by gathering requirements, understanding how the S5 platform integrates with retail solution landscapes, and deploying our solutions for our largest enterprise customers. You will be joining a team of product experts who are passionate about our customers, solutions, and products.
What You’ll Do:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for S5 Solutions in client settings
Provide thought leadership for retail solution implementation across Merchandise Financial Planning, Assortment Planning, Buying/Merchandising, Allocation, and Size Optimization
Participate in requirements generation in discovery; Facilitate both functional and technical design sessions
Provide consultative advice to our Retail customers to ensure successful integration with S5 solutions while maximizing product value
Build and manage internal tools to automate & expedite solution time to delivery
Leverage customers’ business requirements and product expertise to build technical specifications
Translate client requirements into internal S5 specifications and formulate delivery plan
Be creative & flexible to solve client-specific problems within the capabilities of the existing platform
Partner cross-functionally with both internal and external technical and business stakeholders
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
You have 5+ years of experience working on enterprise-level software projects in the Retail domain
with a high level of demonstrated success
Knowledge of Processes in Retail / Supply Chain including Merchandising/Buying, Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Retail Analysis & Reporting, Retail Systems Analysis or other related experience
Experience with SQL, Advanced Excel is a must
Proficiency with scripting languages like Python and Bash is a huge plus
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have strong time management and prioritization skills
Experience with retail planning platforms, order management systems, ERP, WMS and inventory management, supply chain, or logistics
Enjoys working with others to solve problems
Experience in creating technical specifications, integration diagrams, design documents and requirements documents
A positive, flexible, can-do attitude
