Job description:

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Developing pricing strategies, including building rates for rooms and packages and determining discounts and specialty rates
• Forecasting pricing and revenue based on demand and market trends
• Evaluating trends in the economy and hospitality industry
• Creating promotional plans to increase revenue
• Understanding inventory management processes
• 3–5+ years of revenue management experience within the hotel/accommodation sector
• Proven experience in the Australian hospitality market
• Generating revenue reports
• Assist in training the revenue team and ensuring success.
• Develop new systems to ensure streamlined process for the business.

Key Performance Indicators:

Create Pricing Strategies

• Creating pricing strategies for clients designed to increase occupancy, maximise the average daily rate and increase yield.
• Pitch strategies and revenue suggestions to clients

Conduct Competition Analyses

• Conduct thorough analysis on pricing trends for clients, identifying key areas of growth and focus on areas of weaknesses.
• Utilise competitive set reporting to benchmark client performance.

Client Management

• Act as the primary revenue contact for assigned clients
• Lead revenue meetings and performance reviews
• Translate complex data into simple, actionable advice
• Build trusted relationships with owners and on-site teams

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:

• 3–5+ years of revenue management experience within the hotel/accommodation sector
• Proven experience in the Australian hospitality market
• Hands-on experience with revenue management systems (e.g., SiteMinder, Duetto, IDeaS, Opera PMS)
• Strong understanding of OTA distribution channels (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.)
• Experience managing multiple properties or client portfolios
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
