Position Summary: The Risk, Safety, and Learning Systems Manager leads programs and systems that reduce risk, strengthen jobsite safety, and build workforce capability across RRA National's five operating companies. Reporting to the National Director of Safety and Risk, the Manager owns insurance claim administration, safety program support, learning strategy, instructional design, learning management system administration, fleet risk processes, and compliance technology. The role works with leaders, field teams, captive insurance administrators, and adjusters; converts operational data into executive dashboards and useful metrics; and resolves complex issues independently. This remote position includes travel to the corporate office about every two months and additional field travel as needed.

The Blueprint for Success - Key Responsibilities:

Risk Management and Claims

  • Assist National Director of Safety and Risk with workers' compensation, general liability, automobile, inland marine, and property claims from first notice of loss through resolution and closure.
  • Coordinates as directed with captive insurance program staff, third-party administrators, adjusters, brokers, operations leaders, and other stakeholders to maintain accurate claim documentation, reserves, action plans, and follow-up.
  • Review claim and loss data to identify trends, root causes, recovery opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and communicate exposure data, safety metrics, and supporting materials to Branch management teams and Safety Managers.

Safety Programs and Field Support

  • Support and maintain National safety programs, written plans, procedures, and field resources for National and Branch operations.
  • Coordinate jobsite audits, incident investigations, root cause reviews, and corrective action tracking.
  • Partner with operations leaders and field teams to address hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and document follow-up.
  • Maintain contractor and client compliance records in ISNetWorld, Appruv, and related prequalification systems.

Learning Strategy and Instructional Design

  • Assess performance, compliance, and role-specific learning needs, then define practical learning objectivesand solutions for employees, supervisors, and field leaders.
  • Design and develop instructor-led, virtual, and digital learning, including facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, assessments, and evaluation measures.
  • Build and administer LMS structure, content, assignments, completion records, reports, and continuous improvement cycles.
  • Facilitate training initiatives and develop effective instruction and knowledge transfer programs and processes.

Business Systems Fleet and Reporting

  • Administer Acumatica, Workforce Go, Salesforce, Corfix, ISNetWorld, and Appruv, maintaining data quality, user access, documentation, and reliable reporting.
  • Build executive dashboards and performance measures that give leaders clear visibility into safety, risk, claims, training, compliance, and fleet performance.
  • Design, test, document, and teach AI-assisted workflows, with appropriate data controls and human review.
  • Support DOT Fleet Service operations, including vehicle compliance, preventive maintenance records, telematics, driver incidents, and risk exposure reporting.
  • Prepare clear reports, presentations, procedures, and training materials using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe applications.

Independent Analysis and Process Improvement

  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex cross-functional issues involving risk, safety, claims, learning, dashboard systems, and fleet operations.
  • Recommend and implement process, policy, system, and training improvements based on data, field
    observations, and team feedback.

Required:

Technology Platforms and Analytics

  • Advanced proficiency with Acumatica, Workforce Go, Salesforce, Corfix, ISNetWorld, and Appruv.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and with Adobe applications.
  • Strong IT capability, including system administration, workflow configuration, data quality, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure AI-assisted processes and develop executive dashboards, performance measures, and automated reporting.

Learning Design and Safety Expertise

  • Demonstrated skill in learning needs analysis, adult learning, instructional design, curriculum development, facilitation, and training evaluation.
  • Experience developing and administering an LMS, maintaining training records, and reporting completion and effectiveness measures.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and commercial construction safety practices, including jobsite auditing and incident investigation.

Claims Insurance and Fleet Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of workers compensation, general liability, automobile, inland marine, and property claims, with demonstrated ability to manage claims to closure.
  • Demonstrated success working with captive insurance programs, third-party administrators, and adjusters.

Leadership and Judgment

  • Works independently, exercises sound judgment, and resolves complex or ambiguous issues.
  • Organizes multiple priorities, meets deadlines, and follows work through to closure across several operating locations.
  • Communicates clearly with executives, field employees, adjusters, vendors, and technical users.
  • Builds effective working relationships while supporting a distributed, multi-branch organization remotely.
  • Available to travel to the corporate office approximately every two months and to field or jobsite locations as needed.

Minimum Experience and Education

  • 15 or more years of experience across risk management, insurance claims, occupational safety, learning and development, business systems, and related functions; construction or roofing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor degree in occupational safety, risk management, learning and development, instructional design, technical communication, business administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Preferred:

  • Professional certification such as ASP, CSP, ARM, or CRIS.
  • Prior experience in commercial construction or roofing operations.
  • Experience designing enterprise learning programs, digital training, or performance support for a field-based workforce.
  • Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-brand organization remotely.
