Robotics Engineer (Remote) — Rex.zone
Design, integrate, and deploy robotic systems across the autonomy stack including perception, SLAM/localization, sensor fusion, motion planning, and control. This is a Remote, FULL_TIME role supporting distributed collaboration with clear engineering ownership, documentation, and testable deliverables.

Design, integrate, and deploy robotic systems across the autonomy stack including perception, SLAM/localization, sensor fusion, motion planning, and control. This is a Remote, FULL_TIME role supporting distributed collaboration with clear engineering ownership, documentation, and testable deliverables.
What You’ll Work On
- Build core robotics software in ROS2 (nodes, message interfaces, lifecycle management)
- Develop perception pipelines (camera/LiDAR/IMU) and multi-sensor calibration
- Implement and improve SLAM, localization, and state estimation / sensor fusion
- Motion planning, trajectory generation, and control loop tuning
- Simulation-to-real validation using Gazebo and/or Isaac Sim
- Logging/telemetry, regression tests, performance profiling, and reliability improvements
- Design and implement autonomy modules for perception, localization, and planning
- Integrate sensors and validate system behavior in dynamic environments
- Define and execute validation plans for autonomy behaviors and safety constraints
- Document interfaces and operational procedures to accelerate integration
- Partner with product, safety, and QA to deliver milestones with measurable metrics
- Mid-Senior experience shipping robotics or autonomous systems
- Strong Python and C++ skills
- Production experience with ROS2
- Practical understanding of SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, and control systems
- Ability to debug distributed robotic systems using logs, bag files, and profiling tools
- Nav2, embedded Linux / real-time constraints, and time synchronization
- Safety validation (e.g., FMEA) and operational risk controls
- ML-enabled perception evaluation (detection/segmentation) and CI/CD for robotics
