We are looking for a a hands-on software engineer.

The role requiring strong experience in Java server-side application development and modern frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot. The successful candidate should be adaptable and willing to work across a diverse technology stack, including GUI frameworks that may be based on non-Java technologies, as well as products developed in Ruby.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining product features, investigating and resolving Level 3 production support issues through detailed root cause analysis, and addressing production performance and scalability challenges. The candidate will be responsible for implementing effective solutions, validating fixes, and ensuring high levels of product reliability and customer satisfaction.

The role requires end-to-end ownership of development activities, including setting up and maintaining development and test environments, performing comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of new and modified code, and preparing deployment packages for delivery. The candidate will be expected to follow software engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested solutions.

The position also involves close collaboration with customers and internal Level 2 support teams to troubleshoot issues, coordinate resolutions, and communicate technical findings effectively.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude and thrive in a collaborative environment. They should be comfortable working with globally distributed teams across different cultures and time zones, fostering effective teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The candidate will be expected to conduct technical training sessions when required, prepare presentation materials, and create, maintain, and update technical product documentation to support both internal teams and customers.

Requirements

Must have

• Solid experience in server-side Java development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Good knowledge of RDBMS concepts, database design and data modeling.
• Proven ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries.
• Expertise in ORM technologies (JPA, Hibernate).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Experience with L3 production support, root cause analysis and performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with Jira or a similar tool for tracking work.
• Experience with Ruby

Nice to have

• Experience with non-Java front-end or GUI frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing and scalability tuning in production.
• Experience in product companies or customer-facing support environments.
