Running Gear Component Expert

We are looking for a Running Gear Component Expert with a main responsibility in 4-stroke diesel engine rotating components research and development work.
The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Running GearComponent Expert your work will include development projects of new engines engineering work with new fuels, component manufacturing technology, extend of life time against fatigue, vibration analyses, field results analyses and supplier co-operation and developments. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of Component Expertise Running Gear team with diverse expertise.
Your work will focus these responsibilities:
- Maintain component technology data base to meet future customer needs
- Conduct and coordinate the component development and technical cooperation with internal and external partners
- Provide support and expert services for new development projects
- Support digitalisation and data-driven development
- Provide support for service organisation in failure and root cause analysis
To be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:
- M.Sc or B.Sc degree in mechanical engineering
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Good written and spoken communication skills in both English and Finnish
- Strong knowhow of material fatigue, tribology and/or vibrations
- At least 3 years of experience working at the industry
