The Opportunity
Join our Safety team in a role that keeps people, vehicles, and processes running safely. You’ll provide skilled administrative support to the Safety team and serve as administrator of INR’s fleet management program, overseeing vehicle records, compliance, and vendor coordination across the Appalachian Basin. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, your work will directly support our safety culture and regulatory compliance.
Location
This position is based at our Morgantown, WV headquarters on a hybrid schedule — in the office Tuesday through Thursday, with Monday and Friday worked from a home office. Occasional field or site visits should be expected as projects require.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Administer INR’s fleet management program, including vehicle assignments, titling/registration, licensing, insurance coordination, and life-cycle activities (acquisition, reassignment, disposal/replacement)
- Maintain accurate fleet records, including vehicle inventory, mileage, fuel card usage, maintenance schedules, and driver assignments
- Monitor driver qualification files (MVRs, license status, defensive driving training) to ensure compliance with company policy and DOT requirements
- Serve as primary contact for fleet vendors, including leasing, maintenance, fuel card, and GPS/telematics providers
- Track and report fleet costs, fuel usage, and maintenance trends, and identify savings and utilization opportunities
- Support fleet and safety initiatives, including vehicle inspections, incident reporting, safety communications, campaigns, and recognition programs
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Safety team, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and tracking follow-up actions
- Coordinate safety training and new-hire safety orientation logistics, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and documentation
- Consolidate safety data (incident reports, inspections, training records) and support metric tracking and performance reporting
- Maintain safety filing systems and controlled documents with proper version control, and assist with regulatory submissions and audit documentation
- Maintain and update safety management software and reporting systems
Your Background
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, Logistics, or a related field preferred (relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree)
- 2–4 years of administrative experience, preferably supporting fleet management, safety, or compliance functions in the oil and gas industry
- Experience coordinating with vendors (fleet leasing, maintenance, insurance, telematics) preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); familiarity with fleet telematics/management and Safety data systems is an advantage
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and controlled documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for safety communications and cross-department and vendor coordination
- Discretion in handling confidential personnel, driver, and vehicle records
