To the sales manager who'd rather be working with the team than in a strategy deck,
We're hiring a Sales Manager at InvestorHub. Instead of the usual bullet points, I wanted to write to you directly.
Here's where we're at. InvestorHub is a sales and marketing tool for shareholders. In Australia, we help ASX-listed companies get closer to the people who own their stock, and take new investors on the sales journey. In four years we've grown to over 250 ASX clients, which is more than 13% of our addressable market.
That market is defined and finite, so this isn't a spray-and-pray game. It's community based. Reputation matters, relationships matter, and every CEO, CFO and director we speak to talks to other CEOs, CFOs and directors.
The team is already in place: three squads, each with an account executive, an associate and a BDR. The processes work - but we are also open to change and growth. We run on HubSpot, have great AI tools and processes but can always grow. What the team needs now is someone in the trenches with them every day.
That's you. You'll own the Australian pipeline and report directly to a co-founder. You won't carry a personal quota, and you won't be writing a three-year sales strategy. You own the team target, and you hit it by making everyone around you better. Day to day, that looks like:
- Living in the pipeline, knowing where every deal sits and what it needs to move
- Working with the BDRs on their messaging until it lands with ASX execs
- Reviewing Fathom calls, joining live ones, and coaching associates and AEs to convert
- Getting stuck into commercials, negotiations and T&Cs
- Working with growth, client success and product to make the broader business and product better, and
- Hiring, developing and building a team people want to stay in
You've managed an enterprise B2B SaaS sales team, and you've sold to the C-suite and boards yourself. Our deals sit around $30k, so this is about rhythm and consistency, not waiting a year for one whale. You measure your week by outcomes, not activity.
Know the ASX? Great. Don't? We'll teach you. We do it all the time. The sales craft is the part we can't teach.
The role is based in Melbourne, hybrid, with at least three days a week in the office. Someone from the sales team is in almost every day.
If this reads like it was written for you, I'd love to hear from you. If you want to write a letter, or send a short video, even better.
Cheers,
Ben Williamson
