Sales Manager Europe - Marine Technology
Europe-based | Regular international travel | Full-time | Permanent
About the role
PeoItaly is recruiting a Sales Manager Europe for a growing U.S.-based company specialising in marine electrochemical systems, marine growth prevention solutions and magnetic-drive pumps for yachts and recreational vessels.
The company develops patented technologies designed to improve the reliability, efficiency and maintainability of onboard seawater systems and currently collaborates with more than 75 boat manufacturers worldwide.
The selected candidate will be employed by PeoItaly through a staff leasing arrangement and assigned to the client organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the company’s commercial growth across Europe and the UAE, focusing on yacht and boat manufacturers, OEM customers, dealers, installers, shipyards, refit specialists and other professional marine stakeholders.
This is a senior, hands-on commercial position requiring autonomy, technical credibility and the ability to build long-term relationships with both commercial and engineering decision-makers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop sales activities across Europe and the UAE in line with the company’s commercial objectives.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing OEM customers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with yacht and boat manufacturers.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders, technical decision-makers and C-level contacts.
- Work with OEM engineering teams on product integration and other technical-commercial discussions.
- Develop relationships with installers, shipyards and refit specialists.
- Identify, appoint and support new dealers and commercial representatives across the assigned territory.
- Deliver commercial and product training to dealers, representatives and installers.
- Support dealer events, owner events, rendezvous and relevant marketing initiatives.
- Represent the company at major industry events, including the Cannes Yachting Festival, METSTRADE and boot Düsseldorf.
- Plan and conduct regular sales visits throughout Europe and the UAE.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, follow-up activities and CRM records.
- Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Collect market feedback and share relevant commercial and product insights with the internal team.
Requirements
- Approximately 10 years of relevant B2B sales experience, preferably involving OEM customers, marine products, technical solutions or industrial components.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new markets and manage international sales territories.
- Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to explain technical product benefits and translate product features into clear customer value.
- Structured approach to pipeline management, opportunity follow-up and sales forecasting.
- High level of autonomy, accountability, integrity and professional judgement.
- Experience using CRM systems; knowledge of Pipedrive, Freshdesk or Salesforce would be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- English and Italian proficiency at C1 level or equivalent.
- Current residence in Europe.
- Valid driving licence.
- Availability to travel approximately 60-75% of the time across Europe and the UAE.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience in the marine, yachting, boatbuilding, shipyard, refit or marine-equipment sector.
- Established relationships with yacht manufacturers, dealers, installers, shipyards, captains, brokers or refit specialists.
- Experience managing OEM customers and collaborating with engineering teams on technical product integration.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Previous experience working with U.S.-based or international organisations.
Compensation and contractual framework
- Gross annual base salary: EUR 60,000-EUR 80,000. The position within the range will be determined using objective, gender-neutral and role-related criteria, including relevant industry experience, market knowledge, technical-commercial expertise and level of responsibility.
- Variable compensation: performance-based bonus or commission scheme.
- Travel expenses: reimbursed in accordance with the applicable company travel policy.

- Employment model: employment by Peoitaly under a staff leasing arrangement, with assignment to the client organisation.
- Applicable collective bargaining framework: the employment relationship will be governed by the applicable framework for agency workers. During the assignment, the economic and contractual treatment associated with the client’s CCNL Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi (Commercio) will apply in accordance with the principle of equal treatment.

Work model and territory
The assigned territory covers Europe and the UAE. The successful candidate must be based in Europe and available to travel approximately 60-75% of the time.
Regular travel will be required to visit OEM customers, dealers, installers, shipyards, refit specialists, trade shows and other industry events.
The working arrangement outside business travel will be home-based
