Hybrid | Full-time | $55,000-65,000 + super + performance-based incentives
Organised, curious and good at making things happen? Help a growing safety business reach more construction and trade businesses across Australia.
At Pursuit of Zero, we're working towards an ambitious goal: zero workplace incidents.
We combine expert safety consultancy with innovative technology to help Australian businesses create safer workplaces.
We're a small, passionate team, and we're looking for someone to help us grow.
The Opportunity
As our Sales & Operations Coordinator, you'll help us find and connect with new customers, support existing relationships and keep our business running smoothly.
Working directly with our hands-on Founder, you'll gain experience across business development, customer relationships, sales systems and a growing technology platform.
What you'll be doing
- Research prospective customers and identify new business opportunities.
- Coordinate email and LinkedIn outreach, track responses and organise follow-ups.
- Keep our customer and sales records accurate and up to date.
- Support customer onboarding, communications and account management.
- Assist with reporting, marketing activities and general business administration.
The initial focus is on research, coordination and follow-through, rather than cold calling or closing sales. Some interstate travel may be required as the role develops.
Who we're looking for
We're more interested in how you work than what's on your CV.
You'll be someone who:
- Is organised, detail-oriented and follows through on commitments.
- Communicates clearly and professionally.
- Enjoys research, problem-solving and learning new systems.
- Takes initiative and can work independently while staying connected with the team.
- Wants to contribute to a business doing meaningful work.
Experience in administration, customer service, sales or marketing would be helpful, but isn't essential. xposure to construction, trades or workplace safety is a bonus.
No degree, previous sales experience or workplace safety qualification required.
Whether you're starting your career, changing direction or returning to work, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll get
- Hybrid flexibility: Combine remote work with on-site time with the team in Highett. We're flexible about what this looks like.
- Support to succeed: Practical training, regular guidance and direct access to experienced team members.
- Room to grow: Opportunities to develop towards sales, account management, sales operations or marketing, depending on your strengths and interests.
- Exposure to innovation: Learn about technology sales, AI-powered tools and how a growing consultancy and technology business operates.
- Meaningful work: Contribute to making safer workplaces possible for more Australian businesses.
How to apply
Send us your CV and a short note about why the role interests you.
We'd also love to hear about a time you've kept a project, process or competing priorities organised. What did you do to make sure everything stayed on track? This could be from work, study, volunteering or another experience.
We're looking for capability, curiosity and a willingness to learn, not a perfect career history.
