SAP FI/CO Consultant

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP FI/CO Consultant to join an international SAP S/4HANA implementation and rollout project.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, key users and SAP functional and technical teams to support the implementation, integration and optimization of Finance and Controlling processes.

Qualifications

• Strong SAP FICO skills, including configuration, integration with other SAP modules, and end-to-end implementation experience.
• Solid Finance knowledge and understanding of business process design within financial and controlling domains.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, diagnosing system issues, and optimizing processes.
• Experience in full-cycle SAP projects, including requirements gathering, testing, go-live support, and post-implementation optimization.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage priorities independently, and collaborate with global teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to document solutions, provide user training, and present recommendations to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field; SAP certifications in FI/CO are an advantage.
• Fluent French (minimum B2/C1) is mandatory, along with a good command of English

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation and rollout activities.
• Gather and analyze business requirements related to Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO).
• Conduct Fit/Gap analysis and propose solutions aligned with the SAP Core Model.
• Configure and support SAP FI/CO processes.
• Support French localization requirements, including local accounting, tax and statutory reporting obligations.
• Support interfaces and reporting requirements related to French tax authorities and other government systems, where applicable.
• Work on key areas such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting and Profitability Analysis.
• Work on Credit Management / Credit Control processes and related integration with Sales and Finance.
• Support budget monitoring and budget control processes, depending on the solution implemented.
• Ensure strong integration between FI/CO and other SAP modules, particularly PP (Production Planning), MM, SD and WM, including financial and controlling impacts of manufacturing processes.
• Work closely with integration teams on interfaces between SAP and external systems, including financial data flows, reconciliation and error handling.
• Contribute to financial data migration activities, including mapping, validation and reconciliation.
• Prepare and execute functional and integration testing, and support UAT.
• Participate in cutover preparation, Go-Live and Hypercare activities.
• Investigate and resolve functional issues in collaboration with technical and business teams.
• Prepare functional documentation and provide support to the teams
