SAP Solution Architect

As a SAP Solution Architect, you are part of the team responsible for the overall solution architecture of Witzenmann’s Business Solutions landscape. You ensure that SAP S/4HANA and related business applications are designed according to architectural standards, integrated efficiently, and remain scalable and maintainable throughout their lifecycle. This role combines deep SAP expertise, business understanding, and hands-on ownership.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA and connected business applications (e.g., SAP BTP/BAIP, Manufacturing execution systems, and related cloud integrations).
• Define and maintain architecture principles, technical standards, and integration patterns for the Witzenmann SAP ecosystem.
• Evaluate new business requirements from an architectural perspective and translate them into sustainable solution concepts.
• Design and govern interfaces and integrations between SAP and non-SAP solutions to ensure robust connectivity.
• Act as the technical counterpart to implementation partners and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
• Lead architecture governance, technical design reviews, and participate in Witzenmann’s Architecture Board.
• Assess the impact of SAP releases and new technologies (like BTP/BAIP innovations) on the existing solution landscape.
• Support the transition into operations and ensure the long-term maintainability of the application landscape.

Your Skills and Experiences:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP solution architecture and enterprise architecture.
• Deep knowledge of SAP BTP (BAIP), SAP S/4HANA integration, and API-led connectivity.
• Strong understanding of integration technologies and cloud application architectures.
• Experience working with external implementation partners and in multi-vendor environments.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); German language skills are a plus.
