You're passionate about a career delivering solutions that impact millions.

You know that not all tech and digital roles are the same. Be part of a team that ensures a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities and regions.

In this role, you'll:

Work as part of a team delivering the School Crossing Program by coordinating the work undertaken by School Crossing Supervisors to ensure the Program is delivered to the required standards and objectives.

This role involves a variety of duties, acting as the local point of contact for the community, councils, school principals, police and all School Crossing Supervisors within the Wollongong region. You will oversee the work of School Crossing Supervisors, including conducting site visits, rostering, performance management, recruitment, incident management, investigations, and building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

A high level of computer literacy is required, including experience using information management systems, databases and spreadsheets, with the ability to monitor and report on program outcomes.

You will oversee, organise and mentor School Crossing Supervisors who are dispersed across a large geographical area throughout the Illawarra and South Coast region.

This role is based in Wollongong and requires regular travel and overnight stays, to a range of locations.

Candidates from Wollongong and surrounding Illawarra and South Coast communities are highly encouraged to apply.

About you

Your enthusiasm, energy, initiative and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will see you succeed in this role. You are highly organised, customer-focused, empathetic and able to remain calm under pressure while working autonomously.

You bring strong supervisory and people management experience, with the ability to lead a large team of permanent part-time and casual employees.

Your sound understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices is essential.

You are accountable, deadline-driven and community-focused, with a willingness to go above and beyond to support the values of Transport for NSW and the School Crossing Supervisor Program.
